Some day,,,,probably when both kids are in school full days, I will get back at least my EMT card and come back to Empress...I HATE per-diems at union shops, but in this case, I will make an exception.

I blew all the leaves from the ground and mowed this too on Friday....but here is the issue NOW!

ALOT of the photogs on firepics.net go to Detriot to buff...the sheer amount of fires in vacants alone is astounding..

Wanna hear something rediculous...I DON'T own a friggin saw! I got a Quad... A SCAG..a big ole walk behind leaf blower and a bazillion hand tools..but no friggin saw! (YET!) Litterally EVERY tree around my yard fell into the yard..but only a small one hit the house with no damage..no power still and dont antipate getting it back for days... I did see a beautiful sunrise today...however it was not from my treestand..it was at a very stubborn house fire..

Date: 10/30/2011 Time: Approx 0400ish Location: Route 22, south of Cosuins Deli Frequency: DC911, FG 14 Units Operating: Wassaic, Amenia, Dover, Sharon (Ct), Millbrook, NYSP, NDP Weather Conditions: Cold, and crystal clear Description Of Incident: Heavy fire throughout a 2 story balloon frame PD with heavy snowload. Reporters: x129k aka 36Truck! LOL....multiple Bravo Members on scene and I don't beleive we had time to take a single picture. Writer: Yours truly...ALL BUGGED UP! Heavy fire upon arrival, defensive operations initiated. markmets and x129 did a very brief interior attack on the rear kitchen but were forced out by fire in a room behind us...Dover 36-45 special called and we opened up a gable end and the roof. Multiple handlines placed into operations. Very stubborn fire with difficult access due to complete collapse of the exterior porch. x129k actually used a handline more than a hook! LOL

Word...I LOVE me a monster truck!
-
Love the gear back in "the day"......if you were a fireman...you wore black boots...black coats with yellow Reflexite..and a New Yorker....there was no mistaking a fireman back then...not like us in our multi colored, multi striped "prima donna" gear we have now!
-
Sorry guys...I promise it will look better once I get the reflective stripes and chevrons on it. I also have a deal pending with Seth to logo it up as an official EMTBravo Incident Alert fly car.

FYI - Scene Support is offered fairly regular in Dutchess if you want to travel a bit. In fact there is one starting next month in Rombout, right off of 84 near Putnam...not too bad of a ride at all... http://www.dc911.com/View_ClassDetails.aspx?Cid=1174
