I have had a Trooper grab a handline and knock down fire over my head as I entered a building for a search once...you won't hear me talk trash about Troopers with hoselines....

And it worked out, and it was smart, and it was the right thing to do...but it is not done all the time...and I feel it should be.

If nothing else, I hope all of the Officers out there realize that there should be at least one ALS ambulance should be on standby at ALL fire scenes. Don't wait until you absolutely NEED one...get it on the road early. In fact - re-write your alarm assignments and add one or two on there today. Glad you pulled through Wheels.....and good job to 56-3

We have the need....but not the cash....And I prefer not to wear "jeans and a shirt" and I don't own "work boots"...so hitches and a lid it is for me.

I have always just worn my bunkers, gloves, and my lid...but seeing these other fires lately, I think if we get one...I might throw my hood and coat on...just in case.. It's nasty out there..and these winds make it so much worse.

Honestly Seth - I find it a HUGE pain in the rear to post anymore....the lagtime between pages loading....etc...so slow...it's just not worth the aggrevation.
