  14. Man...I havnt been to County Weekend since "JJ" was around.... same year me and Dum Dum WALKED back to the campus from whatever bar is popular there in town...thanks to "Steady Eddie" for picking us up....That was a crazy year.

It's not absurd - it's a nice perk for people who usually put in a rediculous amount of time in the firehouse, going to meetings, calls, training, etc, more so than the average member because the job of Chief requires it. This is a practice that started long before departments provided staff cars. Alot of departments still do not have them. .... Most Dutchess districts are quite large - take Millbrook for instance - it is 62 square miles....one station... Is it also absurd if departments furnish Chiefs with department owned whoopie lights and sirens to put on/in their POV's?

Date: 2/29/2008 Time:2030 Location: Rt 9, approx 100 yards south of Stone Church Rd Frequency: DC911 Units Operating: Rhinebeck, NDP, NYSP Description Of Incident: MVA w/ 2 ejected, additonal pinned Writer: 129 2035; Police on scene requesting EMS expidite 2036; DC911 redispatches, adding 2 additonal NDP ALS units to assignment, reporting a RB FF on scene, confirming 2 ejected, addiotonal pinned. 2038; Rhinecliff, Red Hook, and MLSS ambulances dispatched (to scene I belive,was covered) 2045; Rhinebeck Command reports triage reports 5 ALS/critical patients. 2046; RB Command request Level 1 MCI plan activated 2051; DC911 puts West Clinton, Roosevelt, and Tivoli ambulances on standby. 2105; All patients extricated at this time. Total patient count is 7. 2113; RB Command reports all ambulance leaving or left scene at this time. 2124; Command reports units in service on scene, assisting Police with reconstruction (Good job Brothers!)
  21. Too many Chefs spoil the chili...... In my last department, officers were assigned "Mutual Aid Response Departments".... and a M/A fire would bring 1 Chief and 1 Lieutenant (if available). The Captain never got to go play....
