While I can certainly agree with carrying basic tools on the bus, I wonder how many of these rigs carry basic vehicle stabilization devices, such as cribbing/step chocks? I understand the "emergency access to patients before the FD gets there", but without stabilizing the vehicle - is it worth the risk to the patient? The only time I can see it justified it in case of vehicle fires.

I REALLY hope Pawling goes with a different carnival company! Last year those rides looks SO rickety we just left rather than torture our son with not going on them.... they were absolutely disgusting!

Thats what I mentioned above - the new Airpaks, like ALS said - have so many bells and whistles that they are JUST as heavy as the 2.2's with the non-composite bottle! Silly!

I mentioned the same thing when I joined the department where I live now....The new 4.5's are heavier than our old 2.2's with the wire frams....it's nuts!

NYS Troopers! I love these guys....appreciate everything they do. I pass very many of them on my way home at night and they are always nice and professional. At this point - the wind was WHIPPING down the corridor, it was snowing, and my little guy was done - the slobber in his trumpet was iced over...we packed up headed to the Mall. One last toot.

The City of Poughkeepsie has them also - for unmarked detective cars. They DO make them without the Hemi....
