Actually, since it wont let me edit; Furnace in basement, Co travels in the outside wall void of the balloon construction, up, then disperses on the upper floors? Really reaching here....and quite interested.
-
Furnace? CO spread via cast iron grates in floor for heat dispersion or wide hardwood floor planks seperated over the years?

I am a Suburban man myself - I own one and love it...but getting a free car no matter what it is, is still a free car.. I am also a fan of Crown Vics for Fire Chiefs too.

Interesting. I had a rather "heated" discussion in regards to this recently. The other half was defending an SOP that dispatches a Utility/Brush Truck equipped with a CO meter and two airpaks to CO calls. Unfortunatly, the gray area is I can not recall, nor did I really ask, if that was for "without symptoms" or all COP calls, which IMO, is irrellevant, that assignment is inadequate.

Yes. It happens often. Everywhere*, not just in Somers. It is becoming a REAL problem and no volunteer department in the Hudson Valley is immune to it.

And then some of those fire-rescue and police boats could be justified.

REGARDLESS, CMD is a nasty city, plagued with violence, crime, and fires. This will prove to be disastrous, not only for the guys losing their jobs, but for the residents of Camden...and really, for all of us in public safety - a precedent HAS been set.

happy Birthday! ALL of the cool guys were born in September!

You know...when there are posts about the new Commish, I see alot of FDNY guys on here repeat what a loss it is to "them"...in today's world of "F%*K up, Move up" promotions, I think it speaks volumes for his reputation and substance. very rare these days. I wish the Commish, as well as the Brothers of the YFD the best.
