According to their website SceneDots pricing, the price is $12.00 for a sheet of 56. The link gives instructions on how to calculate how many you need.

Heard someone testing on 478.0500MHz Friday AM. Anyone know if this was Hartsdale FD testing their new system. See previous thread at Hartsdale Fire New Tower. Cars & Apparatus On Ultra High Frequency 11/29/07 Responded to alarm on N.Central Av , Dispatch 46.26 (pagers) all units L/C on 478.0500

Here is an Easier to Read Users Manual for the BCT246. Hope this helps.
-
If we could get someone who has seen the memo to comment, then we would know what is happening.

585 Try this Easier to read BCT15 Users Manual. Pay attention to the Programming Systems - Motorola. Scroll down to Menu Outline, this looks like it should be a step by step outline for what you need to do. Follow the menu for Motorola type II UHF.

tbendick One of the two new freq's has been approved (WQHV394) for the three South Zone sites at 110 watts. I assume the two not being used from WQBR539 (470.0750, 470.1000) are because they are not licensed for the 110 watts that 470.2000(WQHV394), and 476.0750, 476.1125, 476.2125, 476.2375(WQBR539) are. bmfd231 My understanding from when the System was first proposed, was that by including the Bus System, the County could be reimbursed from the Federal Government for approximately one half the cost of the full System.

TR Where did you see the PL? I thought I caught it once on code search(the 88.5), but did not want to post it till I confirmed it a second time. Good work.

Without the other frequencies programmed for the North Zone, AND those frequencies programmed for Motorola UHF type II, you will not be able to follow a conversation (i.e. Batt. 13). Every transmission (when a radio is keyed to transmit) is assigned a frequency to use for that specific transmission. By programming just a frequency, as you did, you will hear the transmission, but a subsequent transmission following may be assigned to a different frequency, thus you will not hear the full conversation. Secondly, by just programming the frequency without it being set up correctly for trunktracking, you will hear all transmissions on that frequency which would include Fire, EMS, and the BeeLine Buses. Your scanner cannot differentiate between the various agencies using the system unless the scanner is programmed correctly to follow the trunked system and you program the Talkgroups you want to listen to.

Even with a few grand lying around you still would not be able to listen. It is a proprietary technology that scanner manufacturer's would have to pay for (which MA/COM is not going to do). Another reason I have heard that the State went with MA/COM is that the NYSP have had a long relationship with GE/Ericcson for their radios. This is the Company that has over the years morphed into MA/COM.

According to the EBay listing, the first C95F built is up for auction. I tried to insert the link here, but it is not working. Go to the EBay homepage and enter item number 150175164324. Starting bid is $7500. Rig looks to be in excellent shape due to a refurb in 1986. Check it out.

Came across a new license for the Trunked System - WQHV394. New frequency 470.2000MHZ for the three South Zone sites. According to the the FCC's website, Westchester has not gotten authorization for the sixth frequency for this Zone. Current authorized frequencies for the South Zone are now 470.2000, 476.0750, 476.1125, 476.2125, 476.2375MHz.
