is there even any firefighters that are active or were, that belong to this social club . I hear a lot of people talk about going to the bar there and they know nothing of the fire service. When did this club become such a social club? What do they need to go out and get a rig for? Maybe they should take some of that money and give it to a city they resdie in that could put that money to good use, like Poughkeepsie. Why should they give money to the city that they earned or worked for? Maybe the city should trim some fat from the budget or "Sell" their city to prospective commercial businesses to help rejuvenate the depressed areas and stop looking for handouts.

I hope these guys have good health insurance. You have the pak on your back use the mask, the smoke tells you that its nasty sh*t !!!!!!!!!! You took the time to spot the truck as it backed in, take 15 seconds and save your lungs !

That is something I could never comprehend, if you take best overall that should be your ONLY trophy. Not 6 other "Best" category trophies.........but who knows if you're tight with the judges anything can happen
-
Condolences to your family and those who knew him, may he be in a better place watching over his "family" and friends now.

Sure...if you care more about some item that you really don't have all that much room left for in a fire station, is going to collect dust and that no one will even remember what it was for when its either in a case or stored about 12 feet off the ground in 2 years. All in the name of putting people at risk in the name of a trophy. woooohoooo! polish the paratech's, vacuum the compartments....but don't wave at the public you serve and never mind an operational drill tonight we'll do "equipment" Congrats to CVAC on their trophies...they are a great organization with good managment/leadership and all around just good people All in the name of risking people who need emergency medical services for the risk of a trophy WOOO HOOO lets clean the defibs, put hospital corners on the linens on the stretcher and make sure the the disposable gloves are neatly stacked in the box. ALS were you allowed to wave at the crowds when u buttoned up that U.S.M.C. outfit NO you'd be doing sit ups or push ups til your bones broke through the skin.......

Hmmmmm wasn't it just posted in the urinal that the Town of Wappingers was conducting a complete in depth anyalsis of all TOWN OWNED buildings ? I think they mentioned that the current town hall still had few open permits from its errection date.

Dont get me wrong if he was driving like a knucklehead, I hope the fire district has a good lawyer and a BIG insurance policy! BUT What ever happened to the V&T Section of "FAILING TO YIELD RIGHT OF WAY TO EMERGENCY VEHICLES"??????????? VERY rarely do you see this written anymore. Why wasn't the operator issued that summons? I do believe there is a section in the V&T that states the driver must have their vehicle in "control" at all times.... Failing to YROW to Emergency Veh would fall under that section to say the least.

You know if I help somehow we'll be in trouble............. it's destiny when I get mixed up with you. LOL

Can't you just splice into one of those nice fancy antennas on top of that mountain and then you'll hear EVERYTHING !. However in all seriousness that area has been plaqued with Rx & Tx problems. I would presume that if you ran a decent antenna outside maybe strapped it to your chimney and properly grounded it you'd have better reception.

OUR GREATEST FEAR by Master Trooper David J Miller (District # 13) Yet once again the Thin Blue Line is dimished, an officer's final tour of duty is finished. "Officer down", it's our greatest fear. and once again, I hold back a tear. They patrol in the state, county, city and town, in uniforms colored white, green, blue and brown. The shape of their badges may vary, but it's a symbol that they all proudly carry. They leave for work with a kiss goodbye, but some don't come home, no matter how hard they try. To uphold the law is the job that they pick, with such high aspirations, why must some die so quick? They leave behind loved ones, family and friends, after their lives have met tragic ends. Some die in crashes, others hearts not too stout, too many have been lost when gunshots ring out. Our Heavenly Father has called them home, no more these dark streets do they roam. Through trial and error they have given their best, please Lord, now grant them eternal rest. Yet once again the Thin Blue Line is dimished, an officer's final tour of duty is finished. "Officer down", it's our greatest fear. and once again, I hold back a tear. The Police Officer's Prayer to St. Michael Saint Michael, heaven's glorious commissioner of police, who once so neatly and successfully cleared God's premises of all its undesirables, look with kindly and professional eyes on your earthly force. Give us cool heads, stout hearts, and uncanny flair for investigation and wise judgement. Make us the terror of burglars, the friend of children and law-abiding citizens, kind to strangers, polite to bores, strict with law-breakers and impervious to temptations. You know, Saint Michael, from your own experiences with the devil that the police officer's lot on earth is not always a happy one; but your sense of duty that so pleased God, your hard knocks that so surprised the devil, and your angelic self-control give us inspiration. And when we lay down our night sticks, enroll us in your heavenly force, where we will be as proud to guard the throne of God as we have been to guard the city of all the people. Amen. RIP Thoughts and Prayers to the family and friends of PO Morelli
