Been out there looking and except for die-cast, cant find a 1/35 sclae model of a rear mount seagrave, tried most companies of plastic models, plastic would work better since I could mod the thing to look like ours, way more flexiable, plus it would kill me to wreck those nice die-cast paint schemes. All our members want is a positive work place, and our topics on this forum to be is, How FDMV is a top professional department, we have without a doubt some of the BEST firefighters in this county. Yes, I'm gonna try to put together a collection and use times frames, Volunteer manpower and changing times. Thier history cant be denied in Mt. Vernon its part of it. Getting the info and transferring it takes time, and Mt. Vernon library has its own problems so getting to the room downstairs is a problem right now, thats were a lot of good stuff is, but like firehouses thier building is damaged and undergoing very slow repair. Thanks for all the supprt out here, when you drive by just look for all the pickups parked on the grass, and nobody better make fun of our lawn furniture. The funny part is the bosses think their fixing things they forget they created this mess. The reason for the trailers is funny too, they dont want to take a truck from the northeast side of town, but closing a west engine company is ok, and closing a south side truck company was to. I guess these people dont count as much. They can make a agruement for a truck with all the OMD"s there but it only goes so far. Station 2 would make more sense and most likely only add about 1:00 min. more on our response time in that area. But what does my small mind know. That crash truck has been sitting there for almost two years now. I think we got it from Stewart, Just like all rig work hold your breath. On Oct. 24th. at 10:30 AM Local 107 Mt. Vernon Firefighters will re-endorse both Clinton Young and Lyndon Williams. The press conference will be held at Station 2 on Fulton Ave., after 12 years of disdain and lack of concern for our members, safety as well as the safety for the people we serve, Local 107 is going with what we beleave is a step to getting our job back on track. We understand what Mr. Young wants from our department and will work with him and his team. You can go to FDMV.NET to see the pdf. on Mr. Young's answers on our situation.

Just for the record: ALL of the current problems have been recorded numerous times , starting since 1992, we do try to take care of what we have but please tell me how to clean MOLD,Insects-( most you cant see),and a administration that does not care. Our jobs are to protect lives and property of the people of Mt. Vernon not be part time janitors. And please lets not insult the people that live here, most are good people having a hard time. These are not things that happened yesterday and yes shame on us for not being heard before , but think of the number of problems we have, after awhile, people say it's them again. Gotta go now I cant stay in this room any longer then 5 minutes before I need to shower.
