The KJFD likes to respond to calls for us. if we hear that we are going anywhere near kiryas joel you can almost bet their will be a 30 year old seagrave engine (E-596) blocking all lanes of access, 4 ambulances and about 20 chevy suburbans not marked with regular N.Y.S. plates and more red lights on them than you can count. we like it though it keeps things interesting, I mean who wants to do their job in peace!

I see that ford redid the ''E'' series model for 2008, why would they redo the style if the were discontinuing it. ford did do away with the 7.3 liter engine (but kept the 6.0, dumbest move they could make) and went to the 6.4. those were the only changes I am aware of as of now. in the beginning of the year they had some problems with international making them the powerstroke engines but I think everything is ''smooooooooth'' now

yea it is a nice truck

I saw today a picture of a 1963 mack c model and it had verplanks name and color all over it. I know that the westchester county plate assignments still have an E-127 for them and am just wondering if verplank still has this particular truck. Also, do they have an antique engine? I always thought they had one, never knew what it was and I wonder if this is it or is it another old engine. Thank you for your time, steve on a side note did pocantico hills get that ford/4guys midi-pumper from that department in PA. I found out that it went from an FD in pennsylvania to an FD in ''upstate NY''. I am wondering if that department is P.H.F.D. If they did buy it they are getting rid of the hahn, right? just wondering. Any info. will be appriecieated.

I hate to say this guys but I think that the only reason the FDNY has problems with their seagraves is because they are "bare-bones''. I dont mean they should have all sorts of bells and wistles, I mean they have one of the smallest engines in their rigs, the apparatus see alot of work and lets face it the roads down their are not the greatest which means alot of bumping around that can knock alot of things loose. I am one of the biggest pierce fans out there, I cant get enough of them but I think that even if the FDNY goes with pierce they will still have the same problems they do now, because if you talk to any fire truck mechanic or anyone who has been around fire trucks for a long time they will tell you that pierce and seagrave are the best, end of story. just my 2 cents. Any FDNY guys out there feel free to correct me.

I see on fentonfire.com that the ''tac'' is now sold I was wondering if pocantico hills went ahead and bought it. I did not know how new it was being an '03 with only 4000 miles on it! if they did buy it will the hahn go as previously stated. rare truck, never seen anything like it before.
