I know that ports ladder truck (T-827) is not from any other fire department for a fact. what the city of port jervis does is give their rigs a strict 20 year plan they do not buy anything used except for thier fire police vans from port jervis vac. on top of that they are probably starting a committe right now to replace that truck soon. I dont know where your old ladder truck is but I can tell you where it is not.

I was talking from an apparatus standpoint as to what their ''sister station'' has in addition to what castle point runs at their campus. I was trying to firgue out what the whole department runs, both campuses.

correct me if im wrong but these rigs are in addition to montroses rigs wich are 1 pumper, 1 haz-mat rig, 1 international midi-pumper, 1 ambulance, 1 boat, and 1 chiefs car

So then is it slated to be replaced or just wiped of the roster all together after it is sold, because as a couple previous statements said how are you going to be a fire department on a major river and not have a boat. Or maybe what they could do is sell this one for a nice profit and buy a smaller less complex boat without pumps and less firefighting equipment. Eaiser to maintain and you still have everything you need nothing you dont. Just my opinion though, what do I know. steve.

The reason I ask is I have a friend who is a fireman in lake mohegan and he does not have computer access in his grandmothers apartment as he is living with her in yonkers when he is working in the city and is busy the rest of the time and he knew I was a member of this site and figured I could ask you guys for the info. thank you for your responses and I could understand the couriousity of the question as I will probably not use the info myself.
