  10. Yes, I have to agree, the ford C's were VERY popular. I know that congers in rockland has one, 3-H.P., conwall used to have one a long time ago, of corse we all know that lake carmel had one not to long ago, harriman in orange had one, unionville had one, cold spring still has two, rosendale in ulster had one a long time ago and pine bush, at one time, had three, they have R-232 which is a rescue pumper, and then their is E-226 a regular pumper, and they just replaced a tanker, TA-230, that also had a ford C cab.
  11. Their is also that one movie, I forget when it came out but, ablaze, that was a good movie.
  12. In my firehouse, my favorite is E-525, our 1991 pierce lance 1500GPM 1000 gal. tank pumper. She has run first due since january '91. That truck of ours does twice the work as our '01 smeal ladder and '99 smeal tanker, yet has half the wear!

  24. I notice that their is a big push or craze for duty chiefs cars in orange county, where i live . i see that a number of departments have kept the old chiefs car and i think the OIC gets it for a number of days or hours and hands it to the next OIC. i want to know if their are any departments down around westchesters region that does this because i see that somers has a ''2444'' and want to know if this is a duty chiefs car or an officers personal car. I hope that this is an interesting topic and any info would be greatly apprieciated, thanx.
