That firehouse that truck6018 is talking about has been closed down for some time now. That was the old stewart army base firehouse. About 10 years ago (give or take a couple of years) the military base was covered by the stewart army fire dept. and the runways and terminals were covered by the ANG CFR. Then the stewart army fire trucks (there were only 3, 2 pumpers and a tanker) were all given to west point (2 of the 3 have been disposed of since) and the ANG CFR was given a contract to protect everything on base as well as what they had. The ANG CFR now has about 11 trucks and if any thing big goes down there they have 8 departments on automatic response including; the city of newburgh , goodwill, vails gate, new windsor, coldenham, winona lake, orange lake and mobile life. I dont know if any thing will change if the PAPD takes over, but I guess time will tell.

what does the fairview fire dept. run as far as engines, trucks, utilities, antiques and rescues. also how many chiefs cars do they have and do they still have that dodge van? If so what do they use that for? Any info is apprieciated. thanx steve.

Does anyone know if indian point has any fire trucks? I have never seen or herd of any being there, so I figured I'd ask.

The reason why, is because I go around to different towns, find out what kind of trucks they have and get the closest 1/64 scale model to their particular make and model of their trucks. That is the reason for all the questions I have asked about what all the different departments have around here. I do have about 70 code 3's a couple of corgis, first gear's, but mostly matchbox, hotwheels, maisto, realtoy and boley. Did I also mention I build my own models of special apparatus not made by any of those companies. Many of the special apparatus around here I have made an exact model of include; vistas's quick attack, somers u-34, mahopac falls's 2 tankers and verplanks R-42, just to name a few. thanx for readin'!

Does anyone know what putnam valley fire department has as far as trucks, chiefs cars, antiques, and boats go? I particuarly would like to know what they did with their pick up. I know their was some talk of taking that and turning it into a utility and replacing the 1980 ford enclosed utility van in station 2 after they got the new tahoe.If they did that, what did they do with the old utility van? I haven't heard anything on this yet and figured EMTBRAVO would be the best place to go. Yes I do know that this website is based out of westchester, but I figured it was worth a shot. any info. will be GREATLY apprieciated. thanx, steve

what do you guys think of smeal? we are looking at purchasing 1 of 2 trucks for our new pumper it is between a pierce or a smeal personally I love pierce, but it is expensive where the smeal came in on the bid 45 grand less than the pierce. we have a pierce now that has ran 1st due since january of '91 and only now is it starting to give us problems (it has never been refurbed BTW) what do any of you think?

I would like to know how many utilities, engines, ladder trucks, ambulances, flycars, chiefs cars, antiques and boats they run, I tried to figure it out on thier web site, but, I notice they do not have everything posted.
