I know some have happened all ready and some are coming up. So anyone know of new and upcoming parades that haven't been mentioned yet??? Also, Amenia Parade (Dutchess County) is tommorrow in Amenia, set off is 1900 hrs. Thomas
-
It was on the local news in Dutchess County and honestlly why throw a Fire Department under the bus by saying where he was a member. He does something seriouslly stupid and got caught and got charged, great job police department. The fires he set the fire companies did a great job putting them out quickly. We have to protect ourselves from people like this. Thomas

I heard that a tornado might have hit Wappingers Area, this was from a friend. Has anybody heard anything? I know Pleasent Valley, East Fishkill, Rombout are getting slammed hard. Stay Safe Everyone!!! Thomas

Its not always bad stuff when pictures are commented. I started it to ask questions about the new tankers not to critize the pictures or the tankers, I think posting pictures are great and good comments are better, but you will get some bad comments, but thier is no differance when you talk about something at the firehouse instead of here. Thomas
-
No offense but what is the differance between attending a parade, spending time with your family, celebrating a holiday, a tuesday night, or a friday during the day??? Thier is NONE, we are Volunteer's most of us and some are paid, MANPOWER is the LARGEST ISSUE we have other then Water. So instead of complaining about who was where, infront of computer, go out thier to the schools, churches, grociery stores and get members to join. Show them the joy and feeling you can get of saving a life or property. The trophy's are an added bonus. I personally know of one department that was up in Lake George and had a call, for the 15-30 guys and gals that went up thier, the same amount maybe a little less was operating on a scene down here. So I personally think you want to go to a parade and show your pride for your Fire Company, then go do it and if you think thier isn't enough coverage at home, then stay home. The decission is on YOU and only YOU to go or not to go, no one forces you to go. This is just my opinion and that is that. Stay Safe Out Thier!!! Thomas
-
Can't reply to them so started a new topic. LaGrange's are very strange, but I like them. One question on them how do you get to the cabinets on the cab part? Doesnt look safe from a picture, havent seen it up close yet. Union Vale's is great, I love it. I love the back compartment on the rear bumper. Looks great. What's happening to the one's they are replaceing??? Will thier be wet downs??? BEST OF LUCK to both Districts on thier New Arrivals. Thomas
-
We call for everyone and thier mother to show up with water. Last year my department (East Fishkill) had a barn fire at Fishkill Farms and we had 13 Tankers including our 3 thier we follow about 500,000 gallons of water to put it out. It all depends on what your dealing with and how big it is. Also, it depends on how the department has thier 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and so on Alarms set up with DC 911. Some company's pull one tanker on a 2nd Alarm others pull 3 tankers. It really depends on what you got and what you need. Thomas
