  4. Iowa 911 became the first to start recieving emergancy text messageing. I think this is a really good idea. Especially in hostage situations. Vital information can get out that us as emergancy personal need to know. How do the rest of you feel??? Info Was Found On PoJo.com http://www.poughkeepsiejournal.com/article...NEWS03/90806003 Thomas

  7. I crank up either Response 2, Command 3 or the Fire Ground that is being used. I am more worried about where the placement of the vechile I am in needs to be and what they need from it or the guys and gals in my vechile. Listening to music and you might miss an important message like get here fast we need you now or dont come into the scene stage and everyone backout we have a major problem here. I vote that you worry about the scene and getting thier in one piece then worring about todays hits. Thomas

  15. Just watch PIX 11 News and from the Van where most of the people died thier is on 5 year old that survied and the SUV all 3 men were killed. Then right after that report a report from Long Island where two cars crashed head on killing 4 people. This is a sad day. Thomas
  16. God Bless everyone that was involved at the scene or with this scene. Poughkeepsie Journal has a picture of the car. it is very said. Plus last night or early this morning East Fishkill went Mutial Aid to Kent for the same type except no car fire and no fatalities. That road is getting to dangers these day. Brothers and Sisters PLEASE BE SAFE on that road. God Bless Everyone PoJo.com http://www.poughkeepsiejournal.com/article...ONTPAGECAROUSEL Thomas
  17. I thought this was intresting and a great idea to get new members to join the Fire or EMS services. Found it on 1st Responder.com. They are trying to get female teens that are intrested in join to go to a camp during Fire Prevention Week. I think this idea could be used by all and give teens or young adults the idea of joining the Emegancy Services. Good Job Savannah Fire and Rescue. I hope it works out well for you and anyone else that tries it out. 1stResponder.com http://1stresponder.com/webpages/news/Disp...d6-99dd72f62d43 Thomas
  18. Yea up here 10-75 is only used by the City Of Poughkeepsie. All other use Stucture Fire, Working Fire, Fully Involved Fire, 2nd Alarm Of Fire. Then thier are some terms that arent transmitted of the radio, lolol. But thanks for filling me in. Thomas
  19. I see. I guess 10-75 isnt a universal Structure Fire, lol. Thanks for clearing that up. Thomas
  20. Ok now I am assuming they are getting rid of the helicopter it self. What happens to it? Will it be a back up or sold?? What about the crews??? Doesnt that mean more people less seats???? I personally dont like it. Because to many times thier are back to back serious calls these days. A couple of weeks ago FOUR Helicopters ONE job. They called a Medivac from New Jersey. Where will the next one be from Maine????? Or Farther?????? Best of luck to everyone who is effected by this. Be Safe Brothers and Sisters. Thomas
