Six responses that is terrible. The last parade I went to in Tarrytown was two years ago. I would hope more departments would respond because that is usually a good parade it was when I went.

White Plains fire dept is disptached by the police, they used to dispatch themselves many years ago until about 10 years ago or later when the police took over dispatching responsiblities.

The sirens you heard were probably from North White Plains Fire Dept. Our old civil defense sirens are no longer in service the one by George Washington Elementary school is no longer there.

That is kind of taking it far but no one should be drinking booze in a firehouse anyway. I personally think the new firehouses will be a great asset to the community anyway because they are much needed to accomdate the larger rigs. I dont think it is fair for anyone to take personal shots at consolidated engine company.

My thoughts and prayers go to the family, the fire dept where he volunteered, and the State Police what a bad loss for all.

very tough loss for fire dept. I feel bad for the family and the dept, and to die at a young age 21 years old is tragic. I pray for the famliy of Kevin Apuzzio may he rest in peace. He died saving a mans life who also died in the fire, he was a brave firefighter for doing what he did making the ultimate sacrafice.

typical democrats think they can do what ever they want, people like Cynthia Mckinney are disgracful as is Nancy Pelosi, they are so quick to bash everyone and that is their style. The police officer was doing his job and congress woman McKinney has no right to assume racism on part of the police officer. When you are asked to produce ID just show the damn Id that is all you have to do.

This topic is an interesting one. I have been to many parades where not one of trucks being driven blast the horn or the siren, that makes most parades boring. I dont have a problem if the driver of a rig wants to hit the siren or blast the air horns, however you dont want to get Dq and that is an important point.

If I could design my own rig it would be a KME excel chassis 10 man cab with a 10 inch raised roof. Federal lightbars 750 gallon tank with foam cell. Q-siren installed in the grill with two federal electronic siren speakers installed inside the bumper. The back would have roll up compartments designed more to be like a rescue pumper

To kill someone over that, that is childish and stupid. Why would anyone do something like that. That person was not thinking logically, I would not do something like that.
