  1. They should do the same to him as he did to that poor family. Hopefully this brings some peace and some closure to Dr.Petit. God bless the Petit family may they suffer no more.

  3. Lets refer back to the post by our good friend and respected memeber efdcapt115, the link to the Daily News and someone else posted the same to the Post. States that NYPD has most likely the capability to shoot down a crop duster NOT a commerical airliner. So all the reference to the DoD and all claimed legal responses to shooting a aircraft refer to Commercial airlines not private owned aircraft.
  4. Must be a slow day in Round Rock LOL. No dont think so he may not always be IC.
  5. So by some peoples thinking here every Muslim is part of Al-Qaeda, so then by that reason every Italian is in the Mafia; every Irish person is a drunk; every Mexican is a border jumper. If that is the train of thought some of you have? I find that very embarrassing that people in 2011 think this way. Yes I understand their beliefs and there way of life, and I am sure there are many that follow the religion but do not follow Sharia law. How many of you are Roman Catholic and how many of you follow the Ten Commandments.
  6. Basketball is a great PT, but infront of the public it is not a good idea. Its bad enough they complain about civil servents salaries, to see firefighters, police officers or EMS playing basketball during a shift will not go over to well. Can you picture the news report on that one.
  7. Not bummed out at all, and I have no problem telling when people are joking on here, just cant take to many things serious or personal on here sometimes. Thanks for the AC info, for four years we have been asking whats up with the AC and heat all we are ever told is we are working on it, typical County BS.
  8. Sigh... sometimes people just dont get a joke. But since you opend the can of worms maybe you guys up in the Ivory Tower there in OPS should move the AC and Heating problem up to number one of one hundred. Because your fellow employees and paying public roast during the summer and freeze during the winter in the terminal. It is funny how when I went up to Ops the other day when it was 90 degrees in the Terminal and it was nice and cool up there. In the winter when it s 40 degrees in the terminal its a nice 72 in Ops. Oh by the way dont worry about me hiding becasue my SIDA does not get me into OPs, thats the only place worth hiding .
  9. As for someone who works there please tell me where this extra space is, I really need a new place to hide from my boss. They are doing some major consonstuction over the next 3-5 years, but this should of been done 5 years ago by time they are done I think it will still be tight in the terminal, I just hope they put in some new AC in terminal very soon they reallly need it.
  10. I cant speak for other schools but the schools in my district will not turn over the kids that pull alarms for whatever reasons.
  11. We just voted on a union to represent us here at work. I work for the Federal Govt. The union will be representing us nationwide. Being a federal employee we come under the Right to Work Act were we do not have to join if we do not want to. My question is would you join a union that the local representing you was broke? Meaning they have no money. How broke you ask? So broke the President of the local can not even drive up to Westchester to meet with us.
  12. Thank you all for your advice, I will use it wisely.
  13. Heard rumor that there is problems with the officers at the local, thats why they are broke. We are getting little pieces of info daily. But if you notice more then half of the employees did not vote, may tell you something about both unions.
  14. Thank you Chris for posting the article.
  15. Yes it as as you see Chris posted the new article.
  16. Cant do any of those I am a Federal employee we will be fired.
  17. The Union and us could both be taken over by China LOL.
  18. They did the same thing in 1994 when the Rangers beat them, and I really dont think that Bruin fans would of rioted if they lost, Redsox fans never rioted when the Yankees knocked them out of the playoffs. There was really no police presence whem the rioting started, I think if you have a crowd that big in the area you would have tons of security there but they didnt. They never learned from the last time.
  19. Both cases here start to make you think, how often does this happen, how many times does this go unreported. Maybe it is about time to start looking at our own Departments and wonder how we treat our members. Is our own hazing (which at is a nice word for bullying) the death to us. With three issues alone to come to light this year this is not just isolated incidents this seems to be a big problem. Its no longer proper to say "man up" or "dont have such thin skin". When your Department ends up paying millions in law suits or someone starts serving time do you then want to be told "man up" or "dont have such thin skin". The next step we are going to see is a Brother or Sister firefighter killing themself because the hazing has gotten to much. Then how will we react. I am not talking about good hearted ribbing and joking with each other, we are adults and you would think we know the line not to cross. But when it turns into harassment, abuse and assulat it has crossed the line to being illgel.
  20. It’s not always drug withdrawal, many times it is due to shock and the patent not thinking straight due to there injuries. It is the same reason why people in Hypothermia strat to take there clothes off.

  24. I remeber about a year ago when they annoucned that the building was for sale, they were looking to contract the printing out or share printing with another news paper, but they never gave any other insight.
