Like Blkcloud said I assume that this was a public road making it public property. SO you should be able to take pictures of anything you want legally. Ethics are a whole different ball though.

Does anyone know if there are NFPA guidelines for live burns in acquired structures? I read in an article that NFPA guidelines weren't followed in the recent tragedy in Baltimore. Does anyone know a specific number? Thanks for any help

I would be interested to know the legal ramifications that your department would face if you drove past an accident scene. I am also interested to know if there are any laws or legal precedence regarding this.

I think that is more funny than practical

I have never liked the idea of departments responding in apparatus during parades on the parade route. I think that this brings up a lot of safety concerns and that the parade committee was right in their decision. I can only imagine how hard it would be to manuver an engine through a parade route with all of the people and children running everywhere, and lining the street. Why not have an engine crew on duty waiting outside of the parade route. Or better yet have a neighboring department come and cover your area so that everyone in your department can go have fun and not have to worry about responding. Just my 2 cents

yeah the commercials are funny but this doesn't sound like a worthwhile investment for them. I just don't see them having a lot of story lines.

Coming up this weekend, does anyone know where and what time?

I think that another important part of this scenario would be building construction and materials. Lets say that it is balloon frame construction you would have to send guys up to the attack to make sure that the fire hasn't spread. The construction is also important because then you can tell how much fire load that floor can take without damaging its integrity.
