  1. Yeah, that video was posted the other day. Very good though
  2. Remember585 I second that motion. Probabally would be a very active thread.
  3. I don't think that having PD transporting organs is a good idea at all. First, I'm sure there is some sort of training and knowledge involved. Second. It's not their job I couldn't see how you could justify all of the over time. I'm sure that some of the pilots on here wouldn't mind doing some extra flying though lol
  4. Yeah they are fun until someone hogs the couches and you get stuck trying to decide between sleeping on the floor of the engine or on the stretcher in the ambulance.
  5. haha Thats probabally why they won't let you do it while school is in session, too much liability.
  6. Im driving home from New Hampshire on thursday night. Hopefully it wont be that bad.
  7. For a dollar a dot I would do it. They do look cool though, but are they still as effective as the normal chevron striping?
  8. That is good news. I still find it weird that no one at the firehouse seemed to know him or his real name.
  9. RIP Chief
  10. I see what you are saying Mike but there is still a big risk of falling off and getting crushed or of being hit. I think that it is a dangerous practice that should be stopped. Maybe they do it just because its tradition. I assume that a garbage hauling company like Waste Management would fall under the provision of OSHA.
  11. That is pretty unique cool find thanks
  12. How tall is the light tower behind the cab?
  13. I was thinking that also Oswego. This is a strange story indeed maybe an insurance scam or something along those lines? I'm hoping that he is ok though.
  14. I thought that camp smith wasn't that active anymore is that true?
  15. I think that the red x's mean that the building has been condemned.
  16. I think that all of these questions are judgment calls and you don't know what you would do until you are faced with the situation. If you were flagged down on the way to the hospital already with a patient. I would think that you are already committed to that patient. But if you have extra personell in the ambulance drop them off with a radio and a mega duffel so that they could start triaging patients until additional resources arrive.
  17. Yeah they also credited BNN, who probably stole it from here. Just goes to show you how much this site has grown.
  18. TR, Your link doesn't work I think that you missed an E or an R along the way. Working link www.RadioReference.com
  19. So your saying that if you get involved with an accident with a parked car and you have CPR in progress the law states that you have to wait for PD to arrive? Is that correct or am I reading that wrong?
  20. Thunder Ridge is up there in Patterson Right off 22. If you head up there you have to stop at Red Rooster for food though they have awesome burgers. Thunder Ridge's website is here http://www.thunderridgeski.com/
  21. I go to school pretty close to Mt. Snow and love it. Pretty cheap for the season passes I forget how much a day pass is though. One hidden secret I can think of is Thunder ridge. Although it is pretty crappy its cheap and close. A nice place to go for an afternoon since its cheap, and close to Westchester. On a side note a good day trip from Westchester is Wyndham mountain up in the catskills. Its around 2 hours from northern westchester, but it has that big mountain feel while still not being that far. It is also a good place to learn to ski for people who are interested, they have pretty cheap lessons. If you are looking to party and ski then Hunter Mountain in the Catskills is the place to go. It is a big bar/club area.
  22. I'm not an experience apparatus driver, but if you were on your way to a call and had a minor mishap like that are you required to stop by law? Or is it a judgement call on the driver or officer? I'm sure every department has SOP's regarding this.
  23. Does anyone know where I can find a good description of the CPAT? I can't seem to find anything that descriptive online.
  24. 93 with a list number in the 9000's. I didn't do as good as I hoped to.
