I had called like 3 weeks ago and was informed that results were coming and psd typing test was going to be happening shortly after. However that's been a few weeks now and still nothing I just wanted to make sure I'm not the only one out there that hasn't received the results.

Anybody receive their list number from the dispatcher exam? Also has anyone heard about the public safety exam?

At the end of the day the residents in any town dont give a flying "F" about who saves them in need. Black, white, spanish, asian, male or female. This is all about politics and a racial card being pulled out. All these higher ups need to really STFU and think about whats best for the everyday citizen. Safety..... not skin color or sex. And the same works for the firefighters out there, just save my ass I dont care who you are. Wait for the Vulcan FAST to be established.

Orange county dispatcher exam results were mailed along with the info to take the typing test, PSD results have not however. Good luck to any and all who are typing and interviewing.

typing test will be completed by the 25th of this month so, its moving, maybe at a snails pace but theres progress

Why not? with the size of the structure/fire load/situation at hand maybe the IC felt the need to have multiple fasts readily available. If you ask me you can never have to many FASTs, most situations where a FAST is utilized, it takes multiple teams to remove the member out.

i just got a email regarding the last test and that info will be passed through email etc. A basic email stating the process is going.....

believe it or not from what i heard is that most guys will not transfer to the fd side due to lack of overtime, therefore using the fd as a way to go out before retirement isnt a significant option as well. 2 year contracts before you can jump the fence. but hey im not a pa employee, just what i heard, many love to start the rumor mill as well.

Also, they were drafting from the bay. after pumping would a fresh water flush out clean the pump enough not to destroy it or is there more to it? **Not a clue about drafting, never did it or had to.

Some interesting points that I was curious if anyone had any info on, We can all critique this incident to no end but not being there its all easier to be an armchair quarterback. The fire marshalls were alerted for the accountability unit. Whats that entail? Also, I understand this goes outside most depts standard alarm policy, but why doesnt command/dispatch handle the incoming units/ stand by units as opposed to the Incident Commander? Also, was there a staging area set up for this alarm?
