What does HVP cover these days. I left before the name change, and loss of Putnam. Are they just doing transport or do they have contracts in the region?

I am in need to replace my diving camera. I have had to much trouble with the Olympus FE-230 that I have used for the last 2 years. I am looking to replace it with something a whole lot better off. I have finally decided to spend a bit of cash on it and would like to see what others have used and recommend. Thanks!

I am looking for anyone who has the newer yellow Stryker chair with the treads who either have purchased the O2 holder or made a holder that can accommodate an o2 bottle under the chair. I am looking for pictures as well as approx cost. I don't think that the $100 price tag will be appealing to the powers that be, so I must show some other options. Thanks

Anyone else from the area heading down to Montgomery County?

From what I have heard, again only word of mouth, is that this test is not in the courts, that the 99 and 02 tests were the ones being challenged by the DOJ. Can anyone comment on that?

Hackensack has taken over the MICU contracts and area. Last I heard the PVH medics are holding things down until this weekend.

Anything further on this accident?

The newest fight and recommendations for lights at the scene is Amber. There have been studies with placing just one Amber light and that being the only light lit when parked at an incident. I have to say I am a little skeptical about that. But something needs to be placed as a standred. Just the other night I saw two cars with a van pulled over. Both of the PD cars were parked at a 40 degree angle to protect the officer and person they had pulled over, great. However when you came over the crest of the hill to see this you immediately got blinded by the alternating head lights, clear strobes in the grill, blue, red and clear light bar. It was just after dusk and I can say I wasn't able to see for 10 seconds.

This time I see CT has changed their CPAT. It costs more and now they are offering two practice tests? If you pass the practice test does that count for the real thing?

But we have all see the mad rush of people trying to sneak behind the vehicle with lights and sirens right after it passes so they can jump forward as much as possible using that vehicle as a way the clear the way. I can see someone pulling over for the cop but then pulling right back into the way of the ambulance.

Who sells or does the tailoring to put a zipper behind the buttons on out button down shirts?

The use, more like the Abuse, of lights and sirens makes me ill and fearful. Cross the border into NJ. Almost Every Single patient goes to the hospital Lights and Sirens. Almost every agency has their own set of rules to transport. 99% will ignore the Medics request and Order to go without lights and sirens. We all know 99.9999% do not require lights or sirens. Most of the time not even an ambulance. Going lights and sirens is not only dangerous, but also helps instill in peoples heads, I will get there faster if I call 911 for this ingrown toe nail. As far as the Following of the ambulance Lights and Sirens that is just unneeded and once again an undo risk to everyone involved. I just love seeing an ambulance pull up with all their warning devices going, and then open the side door and have the patient walk out into the waiting room. Am I missing something here? I am under the mind set of Me, My Partner and then everyone else. Why kill yourself getting to a call or to the hospital when the medical condition doesn't warrant it. I wish I could hand someone a bus token and say "You do not need an ambulance today, here is a ride to the hospital."
