Growing up In the fire service I always knew the career firefighters as paid drivers they drove the apparatus to fires etc and never went into buildings now they do guess its due to lack of manpower on scenes

i know what u mean our oldest engine is 25yrs old life span is 20yrs old the city keeps putting off replacing it

Is U 68 replacing Rescue 51

im not sure of the right thinking on this but my guess would be its the cheifs choice on what a department sends if a department wants to send a ladder then thats what they send same with a engine,rescue, my department sends our rescue to parades

Does Cortlandt Paramedics still run 39-M1? I have not heard it dispatched to EMS calls recently, only have heard 39-M2 .

Truck 9 and Truck 10 are the same year so I'm guessing Truck 10 assigned to 39M2 will be replaced soon also
