Being on a Rit/Fast team comes with two compliments the first one is being selected by your own Dept. And the second one is from the Dept. that calls your team. It has to be the most boring job at the fire scene accept being an I/C. People dont like to be told what to do at their fire scene, but think of the Rit/Fast as the ultimate sefety officer. Being on a Fast team you get to see as much of a 360 as possible the entry ways, stairs, cellar doors etc. Trying to give your team a virtual layout through each others eyes and communications. Constantly talking with hose and search teams when they are changing a bottle or taking a breather. It is real important to be pro active. The only problem with this is people think you are trying to take over. But when you have two teams each in a different location you get to see alot more than just advancing a hose line or doing a search. I for one am glad that the Rit/Fast concept has taken off in our area.

Have to agree with tanker 10 eng, if the batteries were more reliable it wouldn't be bad but they havn't worked well for us and we rotate them on and off the charger and exercise them regularly.

Constructive criticism or bashfest?? Could it be that people just don't like to be disagreed with. Who will say what the lesson learned is, the people involved or someone looking at a picture or a post?? Whats next the FCC on emt bravo! People should stand behind there actions not the delete button. Dont forget we are all only human and all make mistakes. If someone from anywhere makes a comment good or bad and one person learns from it, than it was worth it.

10 sets of eye's see 10 different things, they say a picture is worth a thousand words they never said if those words were good or bad. If someone wasn't there it's likely an opinion. If they were there it could be bashing but maybe they are right, what is everyone affraid of. If you don't want anyone to say anything about you, take some classes or crawl under a rock.

Keep up the good work , and congrats.

We should all have the same accountability tags.

I noticed Somers had only 4 motto's, thought they had more than 4 stations ( countywide substations not included ).

I can't imagine that all of you people actually hear all of these calls we should give credit to EMT BRAVO NETWORK. Thats why we know about most of the calls. Keep up the good work you bunch of buff's.

All dept's should also have a fireground chanel to go to, which would help that incident . Centralize fire dispatch. 60 CONTROL =D>

I see some people using numbers as exposures. Shouldn't we be using A-B-C-D as exposures and numbers as stories?

I agree, I miss the 62 also. I think everyone will miss the 84. But the new one will out-do them all, sometimes you need to give up a great thing to get a great thing . And the 84 was never refurbed its called taking pride.

The pager's with county wide fire tone's are on sale at www.DMA-JMFD-ER.GUSSON.COM (HA-HA)

Is that why they moved the ladder to the other side of the building, 320. Was the ladder self conscious or just prude.
-
I am writing only so CFD-320 can see the avatar he is sick of seeing.(ha-ha). The more we all get on the same page, the less we have to guess or assume, and we don't want to assume. (we know what that means)

=D> GOOD LUCK FELLAS. =D>

CFD-320 is right on the money. But we like to refer to (119-1 & 119-2) as recovering buffies? Or are they now just photographers who have gear close by. Lucky for me I work all over the county and we know what the by-laws say!
