All states should be like texas, that guy deserved to die touching a child. That is what a father is supposed to do. He should sleep fine knowing he protected his daughter.

I think its funny, that Northern Westchester seems to be the the new adopted word for vollie. very good. I also know my name is to the left and my town, but my views are all mine, not like others on here hiding behind a cute screen name or where they are from for what ever reason. I also like how this is fun for all. Someone is getting something out of every conversation no matter what the comment - As it should be, there are very smart people on this site. The Southern Westchester fires do have more BTU's, because a city block of fire burns hotter than a single house . I know Yorktown and all mutual aid company's did a good job at this fire because I was there. And yes, I do agree with all - that to many chiefs in the same place is a bad idea . And yes J. Flynn we would be open to some ideas, as all should be, if they want to be good at what they do, this is how we learn . Even though you are from Southern Westchester.

We start out as firefighters, so if you remember where you came from this will be a good start (which is a lost art with the new generations). What you need is the people who you led, to ask you questions at drills and at monday night rig checks and on the fireground, that would be the respect you might want, not because your shirt, coat or hat say " ex " on it . If you did a good job as an officer the respect will be there you shouldn't need a patch to tell everyone what you did, they know. Actions speak louder than words. I see people in the volunteer service act like they have 20 years in when they only have 2-3 years in, it is kind of silly. Being an Ex probie is a good start just dont let it go to your head .

Thanks, I thought that was the case from the paid peeps talking, but wasn't sure.

We are going to have onlocation served , and we have a lawyer on retainer..

Career departments only need to do CPAT in or before the academy correct ? they don't ever do it again do they ? And those are real questions not sarcasm... So a volley would only need to do CPAT for (firefighter one) then they would be O.K. for the rest of their volley career ? Then every year after that they would have to get a dept. physical. I dont see a problem with this.

Good luck, hope it goes good. Our Country will be scared of its own shadow soon, unless the judges start to man up....

Hopefully its pepper spray in back seat, or a tazer built into the back seat.

Should be murder for the death, also attempted murder, the contents of the fly car could be used to save a life, also the drugs within the car. And then add the rest of the charges, (chris192) would know. Im thinking life in prison.

You do once and a while hear a dispatch for a wash down.

Its more along the lines of sarcasm than an accusation, and any firefighter that lights fires should not be called a firefighter or a wannabe he should be called a convict.
