  2. Best of luck with your career for the future- thanks for all of your hard work and dedication to all of us in Peekskill. Stay safe!
  3. May be a stupid question, but I have been trying to figure it out, When they need to get to the engine in a typical rig, how do the things inside the rig ( such as things loose on the floor) stay where they are? I have seen rigs with flashlights, and interior cones, etc just placed in there, wouldn't they slide around when it's lifted the way it is to access the engine? I apologize if it's a already answered question somewhere, but seeing Ben's photos, reminded me of what I can't figure out, how things dont slide and move around, etc. And, I do know that the SCOT packs, etc are hooked ( in simple words) to the seats. Thanks for anybody's help.
  4. Dead Dog Saloon Website( Check the site daily for daily updates/progress pictures!) To all who liked the restaurant, Dead Dog Saloon, visit the link above to see progress photos, and how you can help ( only if you want to, of course ). Very good photos and their reopen date is July 1st 2012. To all who were wondering if they are reopening, the sign says it all.
  5. Those are the exact words that describe him. I attended his funeral and heard a lot of those talks throughout the funeral. No, maybe not the right place to be talking about that, but all of it is true.
  6. Poughkeepsie Journal Very sad from that day on, it was the 1 year anniversary on Feburary 18th.
  7. Great photos Seth. Some really nice Brush Trucks.
  8. I came through that area around 10:45pm and saw nothing, no authorities or anything were in the area- so it was either after 10:45 or not at all. Also nothing shows anything happened in that category for that bridge. A lot of news about the replacement of it.
  9. Nope- it was Dead Dog Saloon. Drunken Jack's is hiring some of the staff from the place- along with all the other restaurants are taking all staff who will be unemployed in with them until June when they plan to reopen.
  10. This is the engine's station, Station 2. The station has an engine, ladder, ambulance, and a beach patrol ATV and boat.
  11. These were volunteers/fire/water restoration workers cooking for all of the employees that were going through the building looking for things to salvage.
  12. Was a well known place- very good food also. Some photos below. All photos are mine and cannot be used without my permission- please PM me if you would like to use them for any reason.
  13. Thank you for the correction, it is south of Myrtle Beach ( I always mess up in those terms ) I will share some more photos once I get them and upload them.
  14. I am vacationing in Murrells Inlet, South Carolina ( approximately 10 miles south of Myrtle Beach) and a different engine is outside of this firehouse is Garden City daily. I could not find what engine number this is, but it seems in good shape for the age it is. I believe it is still in service, although engine and ladders were responding right past it from the other bay doors every so often. This is the only photo I have of it, but I plan on photographing other stations apparatus throughout the week.
