No they definitely do. It happens in Towns and Villages too. I have experienced this personally. Usually its a case where a moving vioaltion is downgraded to so you don't get points on your license. There is still a fine thought it could be less than the original violation.

Man those Musters were always a great time! I used to look forward to them every year. Always was the last Saturday in June and if memory serves me right it almost never rained! I remember when they were at the Kensico Dam originally. The one they had three years ago was nice but nothing like it used be. I was hoping that it would start a comeback but it hasn't happened. Bravo billo647!!!! Bring back the Croton Muster!!!!!

Amen!!! I work right down the street from that Diner and have eaten there many times. I am shocked to hear that they are closing! I had no idea! You're right they do have good food and I hope they do open up again for our benefit as well as the owners. You're also rigtht about the Bank issue. Its crazy!! Remember a few years back when everyone was saying that we were going to do all of our banking online and we weren't going to need tellers or banks anymore? So much for that theory!!!!

AH yes! You are correct sir!! I thought I had that frequency before without hearing anything but I'll double check it. Thanks.

Whats the active frequency for Yorktown VAC? Is it 155.205?

Anyone ever tried the Firehouse Grill in Peekskill? Does it really have a FD theme to it? Is it worth a try?
-
If you look at the top of the "Communications" topic you will see postings there for Metro area frequencies. There is both PD and FD there. Should be enough for you to get started.

Hey is this what they mean by racial profiling?
-
Wow!! Thats awesome!!!

You're absolutely right! 96.9/92.7 is an excellent station if you are in the Dutchess or northern Putnam area. Give 'em a try! Also, on a bit softer side is WDST 100.1. They will literally play anything! They are out of Woodstock but come in real well in Dutchess. A little bit like Fordhams FUV but way better.

Texarcana which I believe is in Texas. Sure sounds like Texas!!
-
A sad and unfortunate story. If you use the Fordyce scanning website as much as I do, it will be badly missed. http://fordyce.org/scanboard/

I just wanted to know if I am the only one that didn't know there was going to be Indian Point siren testing tonight? It was a little scary to hear the sirens go off at 7PM without any notice. I wonder how many other people didn't know? I have scanners and access to information that most people don't so how are they supposed to know the difference between a test and the real thing? I have heard the tests before and they are always early in the morning so this was surprising.I think there needs to be a little better notification about testing. Just some thoughts.
-
Hey thanks for that description. Thanks for the video offer too but that won't be necessary for me. I get the idea. I'm sure I can catch it next season. You could be right about those "sneaky writers." We've sure seen that plenty of times in other shows. Especially when it comes to seaon finales or"cliffhangers." Mabe it was the uncle who got shot first? Did it look like that was possible?
-
I guess that they just cut corners sometimes to save time and money. But your right though. They know who the fans of the show are and they should realize that people are watching for them to be as accurate and realistic as possible.
-
SO the uncle shot the guy right?
-
Yep. You are exactly right! That's what my wife told a neighbor here the other day when he was complaining about evacuating people from New Orleans. It's pretty much impossible. Anyway, it looks as if at least some of you saw it in the papers or heard of it so I must have just missed it this time. I read The Journal News everyday but I guess I didn't see it But there were a few of you that were suprised too so maybe there should be a better way of notifying EVERBODY.

Anyone else experiencing this buzzing/static type noise on Westchester PD 155.31? On the hand held scanner in my car its sounds like the transmission is garbled or almost like digital. Thats in the southern part of the County. But, in the Yorktown area where I live it is not so bad on the base at home, just a little buzzing noise. Any ideas?

Does anyone know about testing for the Westchester County Dispatchers? When is it? How often do they have it? Pay? etc....
