  1. That is a beautiful Seagrave!
  2. I think a good blend would be a mixture of aerials...some 75 ft, some 100+ft. That way you always have the right truck for the job (assuming you get one of each at each fire).
  3. I love that PUC quint!
  4. I would say that if your department has the money, and have the space to position and set up a larger aerial, go for it! Its always better to have more ladder than you need!
  5. Im looking forward to seeing these new tillers on the Maurader II chassis.
  6. WOW! Amazing shots! Thanks for posting!
  7. Does anyone know the status of SLFD's new order of engines? How many did they order and when do they go in service? In reference to these photos: http://www.emtbravo.net/index.php/topic/41174-spy-shot-st-louis-very-unique-engine/page__p__233998__hl__%2Bst+%2Blouis__fromsearch__1#entry233998
  8. Wow! that has some excellent rear warning light power!
  9. Great Shots! Man I love those seagrave engines!
  10. Great shots! It looks like a very functional rig!
  11. Some of these vehicles are not necessary unless there is a major disaster, they are not used to respond to everyday calls. When the apparatus sit there and are not being used, people complain about the large waste of taxpayers money. However, when a disaster occurs and the proper equipment is not available, people complain about that as well.
  12. Wow! Tons of amazing pictures! Yonkers had quite a few rigs there...it always impresses me as to how well equipped they are!
  13. nice photos! Why is it FDNY's responsibility to remove the suv from the top of the truck... wouldn't that be accomplished by a tow company?
  14. I like that low hosebed! The striping is nice too!
  15. Good Pics! The new ladders and rescues look awesome! What is the tanker-link communications vehicle?
  16. Great shots! I love the Sutphen mini tower with the buckets on the side.
  17. I would like to comment about the shooting of bin laden while he was unarmed. The SEALs could not tell what bin laden had on under his robes. There was a real probability that he could have had a suicide bomb strapped on his person. By taking him out at a distance, the SEALs were able to ensure their own safety.
  18. Nice shots! That Fort Worth ladder tender 9 appears to have a small pump on board...a good idea for responding to auto accidents where there may be a chance of a fire. I like the idea of using ladder tenders as a way to keep miles of big quints.
  19. Is Marine six staffed full time?
  20. It looks great! Honestly I am not sure I like the single axle refurb on the aerialscopes. I think the tandem axle version looks more natural.
  21. Nice ship! It looks like they put a lot of thought into it!
  22. Its a shame that they wernt wearing seatbelts. I realize that there is a lot going on when heading out to a fire, but take the time to think. Engineers worked hard to design safe fire apparatus to protect firefighters. These safety advances don't work if you are not wearing the seatbelt!
  23. Seth... defiantly not sick of the Texas photos! Thanks for sharing! I like the 75ft quint...you don't see too many that are midmounts on a tandem axle.
  24. It looks as though that dump truck is actually a skid unit with a dump body on it. Does it haul other skid units as well?
  25. Great shots! Are the mask service trucks equipped with a cascade system?
