That said, I wish a speedy recovery to those ff's and officer and R.I.P. to the ff's who lost their lives today. My thoughts on the end of the world

I've heard that a bunch of these members are pretty good lawyers and thrive on confrontation and violence. When they're not busy protesting funerals and hating on homosexuals, they're in court winning a good chunk of the lawsuits put forth against them. They're smart people, they'll find loopholes to reverse the "hate group" tag if that happens.

No, just no.

So according to several friends who live in the general area of Newtown, the left lane of I-84 was nothing but cops this morning. Someone counted as many as 67 leo's from all over New England. I've heard various fd's and ems agencies from different parts of NY were planning on heading to Newtown this morning in their Class A's as well.

Looks great chief! The one issue I seem to have is the multimedia tab doesn't work. Any of the links of that header don't work. It gives you an error. The apparatus link isn't really needed if you're going to provide photos of the apparatus under the companies tab. Also the very bottom of the screen where it says the site was designed by Firehouse Solutions for Croton FD. Someone should either fill the rest of the information out (road name, city, state, zip) or remove that piece altogether.

My nephew is 4 years old and this easily could have been my town, his school, he himself could have been a victim! My heart goes out to all families and children of that school. I can't even begin to imagine having to go into that school to identify my little boy or girl. RIP to all the victims of this tragedy.

Why would I hate you for your comment? Don't quote me as saying "mostly doesn't effect utility". Those were the words of the person who created/uploaded the video originally. If anything, you or anyone for that matter should ask the person who created the video (I provided his username on youtube earlier) or contact the department. Seth provided a link to them in an earlier comment. I'm sure he/they could answer whatever questions/comments/concerns people have better than I could. His comment(s) sounded good to me but apparently not to others. I just happened to catch the video on facebook and shared it here. I have absolutely 0 affiliation with that department in any way shape or form. Up until Seth mentioned they were located in Wisconsin, I thought they were in Texas. That right there should tell you how much I know. lol

Firefighters, Yonkers look to arbitrator again

To those of you who are criticizing the video and or the department, if you look at the comments section in the video the person (poprecords1) who uploaded this originally commented that "The set-up is designed to (mostly) stay on the truck and not effect its utility. The system that controls the lights and the speakers are removed when not at the parade. The lights and work do not cost the taxpayers a penny."

This game has been around for years, I used to have it for the computer before video game systems got popular. They didn't look quite this pretty back then though.

I have a ton of respect for members of the Coast Guard. They fly into some of the best and worst conditions possible. Coast Guard Alaska/Florida are some of my favorite and most addicted shows. Those guys are just plain nuts.

Photos of some of the apparatus that were in the parade. Fire Departments in the parade were Yorktown Heights, Millwood, Mohegan Lake, Leonia. Yorktown DPW and a few other organizations (including the Lakeland High School State Championship Field Hockey team) also participated. I believe there were a total of 22 participants. There was some pretty dense fog patches at times which caused all the flashing lights to be super saturated. More can be found on my photo page here: The Westchester Scene Photography

I got there a little late and didn't have much time to setup my tripod and get the composition I wanted so I'm not all that satisfied with the photos. The combination of fog and shooting with a big flash played a factor too. My flash has a pretty quick recycle time but the pace of the parade was pretty quick and some photos came out too dark/noisy as a result. It would be cool to see them expand this and make it a longer parade, get some more fd's and local organizations in the community involved. I also missed some things when I was changing lenses. Some were shot on my big lens I use for low light situations but for the most part they were shot on my fixed lens.
