I think it's a year and someone told me in this particular company's by-laws it reads you have to be interior to join which to me is obsurd! It's also looking like there's a bunch of bs drama involved so I'm kind of thinking otherwise cuz I try to steer clear of that.
-
That's what's preventing me from doing this. I want to join but shouldn't have to take FF1 to be an exterior when there's a course offered specifically for it but due to lack of support, I can't.

Based on the amount of rain we've had all sumer/fall, I think it's going to be a wet and white winter. I wouldn't be surprised to see a lot of storms produce the heavy/wet white stuff this year.

I'd heard over the scanner that the patient had assualted one of the personnel on board and requested state police and 45 medic 2. Hope they are able to have a speedy and full recovery.

No, it's nothing bad. At least I don't think it is, lol. All you have to do to drag the quote in is click on reply in the box in which my response was in and it will automatically create the quote. I showed a friend of mine this whose with E-100 in OFD and he thought it was a pretty cool video too. How many different departments were participating in this parade? I saw at least 2 or 3.
-
nice vid, that was a pretty cool parade with everyone going lights and sirens to the firehouse like that.

One dead in plane crash near Danbury Airport Article via NewsTimes in Danbury, CT.
-
thought maybe there might have been a studder in there.
-
Didn't this have something to do with a pair of men posing as NYSP with lights and everything on their car that raped a girl or several (don't remember details exactly)? I thought after that, they were required to have markings on their cars in some way shape or form.

I was told that Greenville was requested at one point as well but they couldn't go for whatever reason.

From the family: "As of right now, the total raised before some outstanding checks is $5,089.00!!!!!!!!!!!"
-
Double checked today and that exact scenario was confirmed by a member of OFD who responded to that then. He also said they shot water on it then because they didn't have the ability to shoot foam like they do today. They could have but it was a lot more difficult to do so.

Tonight at 5 pm. It's for a good cause and a great person, I encourage you to attend!

The tanker blew up and it hit the tanks with the Ossining one. You're correct on the month, it was over President's Day vacation.
-
It was reported that the runoff didn't hit the creek. Coast guard was there checking it out as a pre-caution but they said it wasn't effected by the fire.
-
Does anyone remember the explosion in Ossining years ago at the Shell station on Rt. 9? This article reminded me so much of it. Sounds like it was a great stop by all parties involved and thankfully nobody was hurt. Good stop
-
More info to come as this is just being reported as we speak.
-
No worries, Joe was a great man and a great ff. He did a lot for his community and was well respected around these parts.
