  1. Nice find, I actually found that PATCH article by coincidence as I was looking for something else.
  2. Photos by Peekskill-Cortlandt Patch FD's that participated: Bedford Hills, Pocantico Hills, Croton, Continental Village, Somers, Yorktown, Millwood, Montrose VA, Buchanan, Mohegan Lake, Mount Kisco and Ossining. Article was on April 7, 2012 http://peekskill.pat...q#photo-9520414
  3. Ossining has both an engine and ladder by KME as well. Engine 99 is a KME Predator and Ladder 41 is a KME AerialCat. There's a few KME's in Westchester. I believe Millwood has one too.
  4. It worked for a little while a few days ago and by later that day it stopped again and still doesn't work.
  5. Works great now, thanks Seth!
  6. Of course, now it works. lol
  7. I still can't post an edited shout in the shoutbox. It lets me edit the shout but the tab that says "edit shout" that basically completes the task doesn't do anything. I have to delete the post and correct it by posting a new shout.

  9. awesome shots!
  10. I know one of them as well and wish him the best of luck. His older brother is a p.o. in westchester as well.
  11. Posting a shout is not an issue, it's the editing of the shout that the issue lies. When you click on the button to edit the shout, a text box pops up with your shout in it. Once I edit the shout with whatever content was removed or added and click on the "edit shout" box to complete the task, nothing happens. The clear button doesn't work either in it so I have to delete the shout altogether and re-post with the edited version.
  12. I can't edit shouts once posted. The text box window pops up with the text inside it. However once I click the "Edit Shout" button, nothing happens.

  14. Mayor Mark Boughton was o/s and tweeting/instagraming pics as well

  16. I've been on the site both via mobile and my laptop and have had no issues with speed.

  18. Some companies sent an engine and a ladder instead of a tanker or brush truck. Earlier on a lot of companies were being requested for 1 and 1. I think it was some in the immediate vicinity of Ridge though. I'm not too familiar with Long Island so I'm not entirely sure where a lot of these companies are from in comparison to Ridge or Manorville.
  19. Ridge fire is now under control. Units were being pulled back so that air support can do their drops. News 12 has some aerial footage of the damage in the Manorville area. Newsday is reporting a total of 917 acres have been burned making it 1 of the 10 largest fires in NYS history. Crews are cautiously optimistic they'll be able to have it under control and out today. http://www.news12.co...&news_type=news http://www.longislan..._medium=Twitter
  20. RAW video of the long island fire http://www.nbcnewyork.com/video/#!/on-air/as-seen-on/Firefighters-Battle-Long-Island-Brush-Fires/146732475
  21. All I could find was this http://nycfire.net/forums/index.php/topic,15503.0.html?utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter http://www.lohud.com/article/20120409/NEWS03/304090100/High-winds-carry-smoke-from-W-Mountain-brush-fire?odyssey=tab|topnews|text|Frontpage
  22. Manorville lost a brush truck to the fire that led to 3 ff injuries. All were hospitalized. I can't edit my previous post to add this to that.
  23. The Manorville fire and Ridge fire have merged into 1 large fire now. The Suffolk County executive is telling people to NOT call 911 unless it's an emergency. Their system is being overloaded with calls. Suffolk County Gov't posted an update an hour ago on their website. http://www.suffolkcountyny.gov/Home/tabid/59/ctl/details/itemid/336/mid/2638/update-on-ridge-manorville-brush-fire-at-730-pm.aspx#.T4N5T2gbfOc.twitter However there's a quote from the Ridge chief who said he wouldn't say the fires have been contained at all. Suffolk county had a total of 109 depts that responded along with 15 from Nassau.
