Sorry a department achieves a milestone and celebrates it with other departments instead of just hanging a banner or 2 outside each of the houses in the department, god forbid a department do such a thing. What were they thinking?! FYI, some depts were at both so take a chill pill.

I would agree with that. It should be both FD and EMS imo.

If I'm around, I'll try to make it. I will know by the end of the day what my work schedule is like for this weekend and then will swing by and photograph the rig and hopefully the ceremony afterwards. It looked gorgeous in the OFD parade. Edit: Unfortunately I have to work until 4 and won't be able to make it. Good luck with it though!

Ossining has a spill response trailer along with Engine 100 being foam capable too. Greenburgh has a technical rescue unit in addition to everything.

Oh ok, thanks. I kinda figured it was used to pierce things but wasn't sure.

In all honesty, there's a lot of fat/dead weight on the team and this team isn't built to score. They're built to grind as good as that is, it's also a major flaw. They need a lot of help in the off season but in the meantime, I'd like to see more guys step up instead of relying solely on Lundqvist to steal games.

Question, what is the long knife like object at the end of the boom on the county airport striker?

I know Marlborough won Best Overall but that's all I know.

I have every truck, every band, and every department as well.

They were TIGHT too

Typically not, usually they are given a wheel chair and wheeled onto/off the plane. No?

It was a fantastic parade with some fantastic looking rigs and departments. I personally shot over 300 photos. Congrats to OFD on 200 years!

OFD is bringing the entire fleet including 3 antiques and at least 1 hose cart I passed Ardsley E-165 on my way home from work.

I saw in an article somewhere that whomever is responsible for the upkeep of that section of the road actually had it in the budget to make repairs/alterations to that section of the BRP but due to the economy the money was frozen and they haven't been able to do anything or so they say anyways.

Yea, just set your web browser to in private browsing but I believe you have to exit the window after each view, no?

Oss will be debuting their new antique engine from Cataract Hose. I happened to catch a glimpse of it the other day when I was running errands and it was driving around town. The rig is gorgeous! I think they'll be debuting another antique as well. I saw it in the story but the link no longer works. I dunno if the story was removed or what. Hopefully it will be in tomorrow's paper and I can get a copy of the story.

Lol what a tool!

The funny part about them is, the few editors who were retained by Hearst Media after the NewsTimes was bought out know their content sucks and the quality has plummeted but there's nothing they can do. Also this isn't anything new. A lot of newspapers have been charging subscriptions for years now.

Great story on OFD. Congrats on 200 years! http://www.lohud.com...&nclick_check=1 http://www.lohud.com/apps/pbcs.dll/gallery?Avis=BH&Dato=20120502&Kategori=NEWS&Lopenr=305020121&Ref=PH&nclick_check=1 Edit: new link was provided that works now and a photo gallery has been added to the story, which can be viewed on the 2nd link. The original link was taken down and didn't work.

I may have to head down to Tarrytown and see if I can get some photos

The story is a couple months old but I just found it and didn't see anything about it upon doing a search for threads about it in the past so I think this should be relatively new to the forum. http://www.firehouse.com/news/10636880/sc-city-makes-fire-engines-wifi-hot-spots?utm_source=Twitter&utm_medium=social&campaign=user
