To add to this, be sure to retire the colors properly. DO NOT just dispose of them when they become torn and or tattered. I know at least Boy Scout Troop 49 in Ossining and your local VFW's, etc. are always willing to accept flags in need of retirement. I know the BSA Troop 49 will for sure host a retirement ceremony at some point or another. I can't tell you how many times I've approached random people flying flags that are torn half to shreds. I find it to be disrespectful.

It's a pain in the neck having to scroll all the way down to see that.

I, personally, don't post much very often because I'm not a mos. Occasionally I'll post a thread with a link to a story if I find that it might be interesting to the people on this website or contribute to a thread that's talking about a general event that isn't necessarily from a tactical standpoint. I typically just stick to IA's and photos. I enjoy reading a vast majority of the posts and from my perspective, am ALWAYS learning things about the different fields in emergency services. There's so much I didn't know prior to joining this group and still so much I don't know but I am always fascinated by the things people are talking about and am constantly learning things. For me, I'm on here because of pure interest in what's going on in my community and surrounding communities from an emergency services standpoint. It also provides an outlet for me to display my photo work as I dive further into shooting such things as fire apparatus and such. I like everything about this site. However, with that said, I also stick to what I know or at least try to anyways.

Ok just wanted to make sure. I didn't know if that fell under the hot linking you were talking about previously in the thread. Thanks for the clarification!
-
So we can't copy a link from something like lohud and paste it here even if we give credit to the writer/photographer (which I always do, being a photographer)? Just trying to clarify. Thanks.

If you go on Lohud, Frank Becerra Jr. got some AMAZING photos (as usual) of the fire.

Another example is the armed robbery in Pleasantville over the weekend at Louie Linguini's restaurant.

Not to rain on anyone's parade but I still can't properly edit shouts.

Unlike the Danroy Henry case, I fully agree with all of you here.

You're talking about the blue crown vic?

Game 1 in the books. Rangers 3 Devils 0. Goals by Girardi, Kreider (the rookie sensation) and Anisimov!

Considering the lack of light and the low resolution on cell phones, that's some pretty good stuff there!

I was just down the block by the old school. I was at the intersections of Dale/Croton Ave/Todd Place. If you don't lnow that use where Walgreen's is being built as a reference point as I was a hop skip and a jump from there and across the street. It might have been the only level section of the entire parade next to a small piece of Main St.

Oh alright, that would make sense then.

You can disagree all you want, that's fine with me. I'm simply expressing my opinion that I think the FD should be there as an extra set of hands to work along side the EMS crews. If you want to do everything on your own and turn down the ability to have extra help to lighten the load, then that's on you.

Why do you need to register if you're not a vendor/organization and just a spectator? The form is catered more for the vendors/organizations than it is spectators.
