President Obama has also ordered flags to be flown at half staff in honor of this event tomorrow and firehouse.com will be doing a live stream on their website tomorrow. http://weekend.firehero.org/intro.html http://www.firehouse.com/latest-news/in-depth-coverage/nfff-memorial-2012

Nice job to all officers/agencies involved in this! http://www.lohud.com/article/20121005/NEWS02/310050101/Cops-Valhalla-home-marijuana-growing-site?odyssey=tab%7Ctopnews%7Ctext%7CFrontpage&nclick_check=1

I'm thinking I might be making the rounds for some of these. I might attend Yorktown on Sunday (weather permitting since I'll have my little nephew), and next weekend I'm aiming to hit up Croton/Bedford Hills/Somers.

According to the article on lohud today, it will take about 7 days for it to be fully operational since they have to remove the barriers and such. There was also a broken down car the eventually led to an ambulance being called for the driver of said car during the morning rush. Not to mention the fog playing a factor into the delays as well. Things should be full operational by the start of next week. http://www.lohud.com/article/20121003/NEWS02/310030098/Taconic-bridge-s-reopening-brings-hope-AM-commuters-suffer?odyssey=mod%7Cnewswell%7Ctext%7CFrontpage%7Cs&nclick_check=1

That's what the contract is currently. They were given a date (sometime in Nov, not sure the exact) and were told to be done by this date. If they finished ahead of time, as an incentive they would be given a bonus for however many days they finished ahead of time. If they went over that date, they would be fined $33k per day they go beyond.
-
The contractor will be paid $33k for every day the project was done early from now until Nov. 9. One lane will open by 8 pm TONIGHT. Also there will still be some lane closures from time to time for final preparations. http://yorktown-somers.patch.com/articles/one-lane-on-the-amvets-bridge-opens-tonight

Thanks, I knew there was one somewhere. I tried doing a forum search but it was coming up empty.

I recall seeing a thread about NBC debuting 2 new shows (1 being Rookie Blue(s)? and the other being Chicago Fire) but can't seem to find it. Anyways, "Chicago Fire" premiers on Wednesday October 10th. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bi3h9z1YUVc

I have a video of it during the County Convention parade in Mohegan Lake.

So if another ff says he wouldn't even do 30 mph through that intersection, I'm curious to know how Mr. Johnson can justify doing 98+ mph is perfectly acceptable in his eyes, all while NOT wearing a seatbelt. Seems to me like the judge made the right decision by getting this guy off the road as he is a liability to himself and everyone on the road at the times he is behind the wheel.

News 12 Westchester also had a story on it the other day. Note: Need to be a cablevision subscriber in order to access the story. http://www.news12.com/Login/home_login?articleId=334733&position=1&news_type=news

Thanks and keep up the great/hard work you do with this site! It doesn't go un-noticed!

Edit: I tried to zoom in on the image but it's too pixelated to fully make it out but it does look like Dodge to me as well. Based on the photos I was able to find of a 1987 Plymouth Gran Fury, it's more than likely a Dodge. There was a different grill between the 2 makes too. I found these images on flickriver. http://www.flickrive...ry/interesting/ Note: The images were not taken by me, they were taken by a few different people: Here's a link that has both vehicles from the same year to be able to better figure this out. http://policecarwebs...d/nypd1980.html

Amazing to see the quality of a photo that's coming out of a cell phone these days. Nice shots!

The facebook page was the first place I looked! One benefit of social networking! Nice to see you got the issue resolved.

All videos are in full hd. There's a total of 23 clips but I'm only posting the first 5 on here.
-
That's what I've been doing but the video would never show up. Thanks for looking into it and thanks to those of you who have commented. Your help is much appreciated! Edit: I think I figured it out. The issue was that I was posting from the wrong link. Apparently we need to copy/paste the link at the top of the browser and not from the share tab on youtube.

I'm trying to get what like Mess did in his thread for the Mahopac Falls Parade. In that thread, there are actual video clips from youtube. When I just post the link, all it shows is a link. Edit: Link to his thread which features actual video embedded into the thread: http://www.emtbravo....+mahopac +falls When I post a link to my most recent footage: http://youtu.be/9GolOsFm7VA?hd=1 http://youtu.be/9GolOsFm7VA

How do I post a video so it shows up as a clip in a thread as opposed to just a link? When I copy and paste the clip link from youtube into the thread I want and click preview post, it still shows up as a hyperlink and there's no video clip. I've tried looking at the help section for the site but it doesn't tell me much. Thanks

I've seen them used a few times but not to the extent that you described. Occasionally I've run into a funeral procession in Valhalla near the parkway and the cars leading the procession from the funeral home would have a little purple rotatory light on the roof and all the cars would have their lights and hazards on.

Results will be posted here eventually http://www.wcpja.com/2007_Results.html Ossining won best overall.

Was a gorgeous day for a parade and a pretty nice turnout as well. I'm in the process of uploading videos now. Congrats to Mohegan Lake FD on 90 years!

My videos are up on youtube but I don't know how to embed them into this thread, or any thread for that matter. Can someone pm me so I don't end up just posting a bunch of hyperlinks? Thanks.

They hardly used them outside of high profile funerals as it is. My father passed away a few years ago with full military honors (Green beret in Vietnam) and while we were fortunate enough to have one, the Colonel told us they're using taped recordings more and more.
