Are the water tanks on those engines L-tanks or Stanard T-tanks?

We are looking to get the same exact rig. We are in the very early stages of specing this out. What are you guys looking to do with the rig? Will it serve as a Ladder, Quint or Engine? Also, how much hose, water and ladders are you looking to put on it? We are looking at other departments to see how they have set up this type of rig. Last thing. Have you demoed the SL75 at your station and who did you go through?

I believe they are funded through some type of foundation which was started a long time ago. I know a few guys on the Job at NBFD. I will see if they can give me any info.

They are allmost identical in body design with a few minor differences between them. They both have 500 water 20 of class b foam 1500gpm pump. Ladders are stored under the hosebed. If you need any other info, I can get it for you since I was one of the guys who helped spec the Squad out. Also look at fleetmastersinc.com. I know some guys that work for NBFD. Their Chief came from England. Also the Mayor for the City is on LEAVE from NBFD. He works/worked in the Fire Marshals office. There have been issues ever since the Union supported someone else during the last Mayoral election. I believe their contract is comming up and this will be just the tip of the iceburg for them. On a side note, the city is having a test soon. Alot of guy retired or are up for retirement in the next couple of years and they are short on manpower.

I was just reading this months Fire Engineering and there was an article about the Westchester Special Operations Task Force under the News in Brief section. In the article it said that the Task Force is compromised of 9 different communities. I was wondering how this worked? I am asking because we have a Special Ops division where I work. We are constantly looking for funding and different ideas. We are trying to get together with some surrounding towns and work together, but we seem to be hitting road blocks. I guess what I am looking for is some information on how the Westchester team is funded, what type of training they do and how they have their equipment layed out over 9 different towns. To me the Task Force idea makes sense. I know New Jersey went to it and it gives you more resources locally. Any information that anyone has would be much appreaciated.
