For those who don't know: At the top of each topic, there is a 'Options' menu. Clicking this menu will expand the options menu. From this menu, you can select one of three topic display modes: Outline - shows you one post with a list of the remaining posts at the below it, in tree format. Standard-this display mode shows the topic in the standard layout of one post above another, with the latest post on the bottom. Linear+ - is similiar to standard with the added benefit of having the first post of the topic always shown at the top, no matter what page of the topic you are on.

To the members who couldn't view the forum due to the following error: After some troubleshooting, I think I have identified the source. It affects those who view this forum in a "threaded format", as opposed to the standard format. Please let me know if you experienced this problem and if it is now resolved. (If I don't get any replies, I'm assuming the problem still exists) I apologize to the members affected by this. -Seth

I'm just curious- I know there's a lot of cameras out there enjoying springtime and snapping away. So, how come no one is really using our new photo system to post their photos? How can we get more people to post their photos using our new "self service" sytem? Not only do the photos get exposure on the forums here, a link is now automatically posted on EMTBravo.com to the photos, which, according to my stats, is a popular way people are viewing the photos.

Members- We are considering adding a new field to the Incident Alerts: Dispatch Agencies. In the IA's, we reconize and reflect who responded, but neglect to list the agencies who got us there and made it happen. I'd like to reconize the dispatch agencies involved in the incidents, and if possible, the dispatchers. I think the majority of the IA Writers know what agencies are dispatching whom, so I'm fairly sure obtaining which agency dispatched what wouldn't be an issue. The only con I can see is that it would take longer to post an IA, or make it harder to read. What do you all think? Should we make this addition? -Seth G.

Do you think keeping the new photo system the way it is works, or should we intergrate a photo section with each county instead? Are these changes making the forums harder to read, or more organized? What can be done better? Can anything be added or eliminated? Can anything be merged or streamlined? These changes will eventually translate to EMTBravo.com, so additional input is wanted before all changes are implemented and finalized...

Members, As many of you know, I've been searching for a way to revive EMTBravo.com a bit, especially in the photo area. What I've come up with, I think, is a good solution that won't cost me hours of time, something that prohibted me, especially lately, from posting photos. As you can see, there is an "EMTBravo Photos" section of this forum now, with several subcategories. You can start a thread in one of the apprpriate, specific subcategoeries, and post your photos (please see the guidelines in this forum BEFORE posting) for all the visitors of EMTBravo.com to see, immediately. As an added bonus, the photos can be discussed, and future expansion of this project will allow for a "Photo Of The Month" and "Photographer Of The Month" contests. I also hope to create a dynamic link to the photo categories on the main page of EMTBravo.com within the coming weeks. I am working on transitioning some forums into the new system. I'm trying to gauage from this point yesterday..........has anyone had trouble loading or accessing any of the EMTBravo sites within the past 24 hours???

I'm sorry. It (is) was a complex issue, and I'm hoping it's completly resolved for everyone soon. There are numerous technicians working on this and monitoring this. I apologize again and hope everyone will stick it out through this turbulence. Everyone has the right to be frusterated, and I'm right there with you. I didn't choose or want this situation, but it was forced upon me and am continuing to do the best I can from my level to work through it and ensure the server and DNS issues are resolved. I don't know what else to say.

That's AWESOME! I love stories like that, thanks for sharing Mike!! It really is a small world. I'm glad that some people wear there EMTBravo shirts proudly....we get hits from all over the world, and I've shipped shirts to 6 different countries outside the USA. There are over 100 T's and sweatshirts out there right now, and more will be given out to our Premium Members this summer.

You can save (download) your PM's directly to your computer. There will be an email sent one week and also one day prior, as well as a message on the top of the forums the preceding week. As far as the site being down, that's beyond my control, I'm VERY frusterated by it, and it's interuppted a lot of the work I had planned for the site. I need to be able to pay the hosting costs every month, and don't really have any extra money to spare, so I need to get the Premium Member program up ASAP. Many members can back me up that this site has never experienced downtime issues like we have in the past few weeks. I can't get into it, but I don't have the time to monitor the site 24/7, and as soon as I know it's down, I take action and it's usually up shortly thereafter. I'm going to meet with the staff to come up with a downtime plan, so that when the site goes down they can text me and I can call the server manager. But, hopefully that will once again become a rare issue. Please also note, that we're not requiring anyone to become a Premium Member. This site will be free for everyone, supported by the generous people who donate to our site, join our Premium Member program, and advertise on our site.

This forum served as a communications and support avenue during a dark time in his family's history. To resolve some recent technical issues plaguing the EMTBravo websites, we have aqquired a brand new server and will be moving the site(s) over sometime this week. This will result in some downtime, I will advise further when I know more.
