To clarify, I took the administrative decision to ban one NEW member who was causing a lot of problems, and also deleted his posts due to the content in them. We will not tolerate members who purposely seek to incite conflict between members. We also won't tolerate disrespect for other forum members and the forum rules, especially a new member who comes out of nowhere and creates trouble. This creates a hostile posting enviroment, and tension between members, and that's a problem that plagues forums across the internet, and we don't want it to get out of control here. This IS NOT censorship, it is a matter of member behavior. If you can't follow the rules or be respectful towards other members, especially after you've been warned several times, it's not our fault. You are responsible for knowing the rules and the content of your posts. Your actions have consquences, whether they be good or bad, and whether they be on the internet or on the street- or both. Also to note, WE WILL NOT TOLERATE "taunting" of the staff, or disrespect shown towards the staff. They work hard, for free, to keep this forum open and running smooth for all the members that appreciate it and use it properly. If it wasn't for them, this forum wouldn't be here. Any such comments will be deleted, as they also often breed tension and spread false and inaccurate information. Any questions regarding the operation of this forum should be addressed via the PM or email system. Short and sweet, if you're a troublemaker, you don't belong here. Members, Although we realize it annoys a certain few, on occasion and only when absolutely neccesary, we do change the topic titles of theads. Mainly, this is done to make the topic title more descriptive to the topic at hand, making browsing and searching the forums easier for all. If we didn't edit some topic titles, we'd have a million threads with vague titles like "Look at this...", "What is this?" or "Wow", etc. Also, Incident Alert titles are edited because they are not in proper format. Remeber to keep your topic titles descriptive, with proper spelling and grammar (no topic titles in all CAPS, etc) and there shouldn't be an issue. As the economy worsens, we are losing advertisers, and have had to significantly lower our rates to keep some advertisers or attract new ones. Also, donations from members have begun to slow to a trickle. I have absolutely no money to draw from personally to put into the site this month, since I am currently out of work. This site DOES NOT EVER make a profit. I know I've reached out numerous times over the past two years for financial aid, and I wish I could pay for this site completly myself, like I did up until January of 2007. I had just enough money to barely scrape by this month, until my desk chair broke yesterday. I spend hours in my chair, at the computer working on this site. I would have paid personally for this chair, but I couldn't and used $100 in EMTBravo funds. Since I need a chair, and one that is supportive of my back to run the site, if I didn't have a chair to sit in this site would have been in trouble and I really had no choice. So that was the big setback. As soon as I'm working again, that money gets paid back into the EMTBravo account. The bill for the server is due next week, and we need funds to make up the deficit that currently exists so we can pay our bill and stay online.
