EMTBravo lost almost all of our advertisers/sponsors on January 1st, many chose not to renew their ads with us, or haven't kept up with payment. Many have succesfully promoted their products using EMTBravo and now have no need for our site. I haven't had time to find new advertisers, chase down those who failed to pay or renew, or design new ads right now- it's very time consuming to maintain advertiser accounts.. Also, we have been falling short of our goals on member donations. When members do donate, it's always the same people who keep donating. We are appealing to all of our members, if they can, donate to keep the forum running. Members- At 00:01 hrs on January 1st, 2010, EMTBravo.COM (the original main portion of this site-the portal)turned 7 years old!. EMTBravo.com went live at midnight on January 1st, 2003, while I was living in Woburn, MA (just north of Boston) as a small personal site for me to share my photos and information that people used to tell and send me. The site's name was based on my AOL username, and I can not recollect how I came up with the screen name "EMTBravo", as I came up with it in the late 90's. Although I pondered changing the name many times, EMTBravo has become a household name, of sorts. From that point, the site- thanks to an awesome and incredible membership, and the support of many- this site has grown to where it is today. I like to describe it as a "snowball effect". Again, 2009 marked yet another continued year of growth. We continue to recieve thousands of visitors daily, from all corners of the globe-including some very "high profile" people who are daily visitors as well. 2009 also brought many changes to EMTBravo.com, , including the rollout of a major software upgrade, and has set the stage for EMTBravo.com to grow even more in 2010. I'd like to thank everybody for all their support with their site, I really do enjoy providing it for all of you, and can't believe it's been 7 years already....where does the time go? Members, I am putting a temporary ban on ALL discussion relating to EMS in Dutchess County related to commercial providers, and some discussions related to commercial providers. I am removed from the situation, but it seems there is a lot of animosity and drama especially in Dutchess and Putnam for some reasons caused by turf wars, egos, and commercial EMS providers that has nothing to do with this forum, except for the fact people discuss it on here. These threads serve no purpose, and I'm sick of reading about how horrible each company is, people posting rumors, etc. This forum will not tolerate or play host to those types of threads. The bad outweighs any of the good in these threads. This whole situation needs some time to cool down and settle itself outside the boundries of this forum before I consider even allowing further discussion. -Seth EMTBravo

I am considering upgrading EMTBravo.com to fit in with our EMTBravo 3.0 design, but part of me really likes the way EMTBravo.com is currently. Who still visits EMTBravo.com as a portal to this site? Now that the new software has been in place for a few weeks now, we want to know what you think about it? Likes, dislikes, etc? Most of all, we want to know if you're experiencing any bugs or problems using the new software, and also if you have any questions regarding the use and new features of this forum. Please post on this thread so we can address this issue, and any member possiblty having the same issue as you can identify with it on this thread. I, the staff, or other members will ensure that your problem is resolved. Keep in mind this forum is new to us as well, and we're still working out some of the kinks, and now we need your help finding things we may have missed. Congrats to CPAGE on his appointment as a Moderator on these forums! Chris has been a member of the EMTBravo support staff for a while and technically a Moderator on here, and Administrator of EMTBravo New Jersey before we closed that down. He has always been extremly helpful and supportive of the site, and I have no reason why he was not officially appointed soon. So, now we're making it official. Congrats to SageVigiles on his (re) appointment as Moderator on EMTBravo.net and EMTBravoNewEngland.com. SageVigiles previously served as a Moderator on both forums, but had to resign due to personal obligations. He is now back on board with us, and will help us with the forums. The need for another moderator presented itself when we added the Upstate section earlier this week, and will help us ensure coverage when other moderators are unavailable. Moderators do a lot more then moderate posts, they are here to help and assist the members in any way they can. We acknowledge there are several people that have expressed interest in serving on our staff, and this round we chose Alex due to his previous experience moderating on these forums and his active membership and quality posts. We will continue to keep in mind those who are interested in being on the EMTBravo staff as the need arises. We anticipate some specialized support-technical team positions in the near future. Also, ALL EMTBravo staff members volunteer their time and effort, and are uncompensated. They do it so these forums are here for you to enjoy, use, and learn. Members, Over the next few weeks, we will be completly upgrading EMTBravo.com and EMTBravo.net* software and code, to "EMTBravo 3.0" We're not sure of the exact timeframe of when the transition will happen, but it will happen soon. I will try to keep you as up to date as possible via this thread as to what us happening and when. Ideally, there will be very minimal downtime during the process, but as with any renovation, we ask for your patience while we are working on the site. We expect it to take several weeks to get everything installed and working right and to work out all the bugs. When the site is first launched, there may be some features temporarily unavailbe, and EMTBravo may have a temporary look. We also will be available to assist members in using the new software, as well as training staff in the use of the new software. There will be some major changes to the site. This software will greatlly improve EMTBravo in many ways, and have a lot of new features that will be very useful and enjoyable for our membership. EMTBravo.com and the EMTBravo.net forums will still retain all the popular eatures currently available, but with great enhancement. For a new feature example, the EMTBravo.net forums will be easy to access from your mobile phone. EMTBravo will also be able to intergrate into your Facebook aacount, and if you use Twitter, you'll be able to get Incident Alerts sent to your phone. This is amongst many, many other brand new features. The site will also be easier to use for all. In order to make full use of the new site, please make sure, whatever internet browser you are using, that you are using the latest, most up to date version of that browser. This will ensure that you are able to use EMTBravo 3.0. We strongly reccomend using IE 8+ or the latest version of Firefox to view this site. This comes at a cost. EMTBravo is heavily customized, and due to the large scale of the project, I have had to hire some special outside help to assist me.I will also have to take some days off of work in order to make sure the transition goes smoothly and to assist any member with using the new site.
