Does anyone know if you have to attend lesson plan A and B? Can you just attend one or the other? Or is different material covered between A and B ? Thank you

Making a full time career in EMS is dead end. Like stated before, if you go on for Firefighter/Paramedic or Nursing you can have a good career. It is very tough to find people that have worked a full EMS career and are happy and not burnt out. Most of these private ambulance companies run you in to the ground. Especially the cities. You very rarely get out on time, constantly held over due to shortage on ambulances that management drops every day due to budget restraints. Good luck if you get to even sit down and start a run form, let alone finish one. With the new MEDS program for run forms, every call is 10 to 12 pages. I hope you plan on using EMS as only a stepping stone. Good Luck

EMS needs to be unionized. How many full time EMS workers you know that work for a service non union that are truly happy with there job? I do not know many. These companies run there employees in to the ground. When they talk about going union, these companies make promises they never can keep to avoid a union. However, EMS needs a real union like the IAFF. These small time unions that are just looking for union dues with no real benefit are a waste. I also beleive EMS needs to step up as far as education,quality candidates, and there over all image in order to be taken more seriously in the public eye.

I hope this is a wake up call for all those firefighters who are Republican voters. When they strip your pension and benefits and break down the union you should be very proud. As for all the first responders that helped out at Ground Zero, god bless you all, and thank you for your service.

Totally agree. Do not know how any public safety official can support the Republican party. This is a prime example of how they just do not care. It is a total disgrace. I hope this becomes well known before the elections that the republicans did not support this bill.
