As of 5:15pm today, the water main has been repaired and water service has been restored. The Boil-Advisory remains in effect until at least tomorrow. The Yonkers Daily Voice says that Spano said earlier this afternoon that if all goes well, full water service should be restored by 10pm tonight. A press conference is scheduled for 8:30pm tonight. Stay tuned for updates then... Pictures here, here, and here.

Just some details I thought you guys would be interested in, mostly per Yonkers OEM Twitter: Yonkers EOC was initially established on a Level 2 Activation at approximately 1:45 pm for all OEM and Auxiliary Police personnel. Late that evening, the EOC mobilization was at Level 1, and all officials were on night duty. The New York State Office of Emergency Management (SEMO) is providing assistance and some resources to the five water distribution points. See video of one of the SEMO containers here from 1:41-1:46. The City of Yonkers has provided 8,000 bottles of water to 17 senior/nursing homes. For residents going to the water distribution points they have to bring their own containers and they are to receive only one gallon per person. "Residents can call the City’s hotline at 914-377-HELP (4357) with any questions regarding the water main break." The hotline was established late evening yesterday. A wake is scheduled at Flynn Memorial Home in Yonkers from 2 to 9 p.m. Friday. A funeral Mass will be held at Immaculate Conception-St. Mary’s Church at 103 S. Broadway at 10 a.m. Saturday, followed by interment at St. Mary’s Cemetery at 114 Sprain Road. First, thank all of you so much for your help! Whether its PMs, replies, or filling in the info, all is greatly appreciated! Since I'm not so familiar with the Trunked system, could you add the appropriate sections to the list? However, once the fire is going on I want to listen to all the agencies who are on scene. I also want to have the information/capability to listen to large non-fire incidents when they happen every so often. I'm sticking to mainly Westchester and Greenwich. There are exceptions, but I'll take care of those on my own.

Mayor of Elmira, where one of two possible tornadoes hit, has declared State of Emergency. Governor's Storm update (9 PM): 97,300 customers without power across New York State. Today's updates here. The storm has caused one fatality in NYC. On the local front, ConEd's Storm Outage Map reports that appx. 70% of the Westchester residents who lost power have gained it back. Yonkers opened their EOC about 5 hours ago. They had a communications test at 4pm with all other agencies. SKYWARN activated in late afternoon. Storm was on top of City about 25 minutes ago. - per Yonkers OEM Twitter and Press Release UPDATE: Yonkers EOC closed at 9:50 PM (source). SKYWARN activation was not required as a one of the volunteers had it under control (source). Four trees and a few wires came down (source). All power has been restored to those who lost it.
