  3. It seems like a good plan to a finally resolved problem, however, it seems like they may be a few kinks to work out. Also, why wasn't Glenbrook FD included in the plan? And, since the new volunteer department will utilize the existing volunteer fire apparatus, what will happen to Engine's 7, 8, and 9? Will they go into reserve status? To me, the plan still presents a few unsolved problems and questions. What do you guys think?
  4. Cool rigs! Is that by any chance Westchester County PD's new color scheme and striping?
  5. The City of New Rochelle is accepting bids for a new engine through 5/25/10. City of New Rochelle Fire Department Bidding Information Does anyone have any new information on who the manufacturer of the new rig will be? I don't think it will be an expensive model, on account of the NRFD's recent spending on the purchases of their new Rescue 4 and new Engine 25.
  6. What a freak thing!!! Those were the first actual videos I've seen of the incident. Thankfully no one was seriously injured or killed!
  7. I have to say it's a good idea, and it would definitely boost annual call volumes and may even prove itself very effective after all. Unfortunately though, I don't think it will happen.
  8. Congratulations Tarrytown FD!

  12. Awesome rig! GK did a really great job on it! By the way, does anybody know the condition of Waterbury FD Station 10(Fire Headquarters) on Field St. in Waterbury? Last time I checked, it was undergoing renovations. Also, I know that they moved Truck 1 to Station 11 with the new rig, and the old Engine 10 I think went to Engine 5, but where's the current Engine 10? Does it exist anymore, or did it get disbanded?

  18. Awesome rig! The SFRD can really use it! By the way, does anyone know if the old Rescue 1 will become the new spare Rescue 2, and if the Special Ops. Bus and Trailer will be taken out of service or used somewhere else, since the new rig will carry all the additional special operations equipment on it, instead of it being broken up like it is now? I'm pretty sure the old Rescue 2's Mack will go to either Stamford PD or another city agency.
  19. Awesome rigs! I can't wait for the new ALF's to finally come in!
  20. Pretty nice rig. It looks like the same cab design as their Engine's 15 and 17. With the amount of runs they do, New Haven can sure use it! Does anybody know if the old Truck 3's going into reserve status?
