Looks great. Good luck to the guy's and gal's of HM Co. # 1 with their new ride!

This new rig will replace a 2002 Pierce Dash 95' MM Tower Ladder currently assigned to Ladder 5, the busiest Ladder Co. in the city of Bridgeport. The current Ladder 5 will go to Ladder 6, and the current Ladder 6, a 1995 Pierce Arrow 100' RM' Ladder will go into reserves. Good luck to Bridgeport's Bravest with their new rig. They sure can use it.

Only July 4th alone, CMD's bravest went to 3 fires: @04:15hrs. - 800 Blk of N. 5th St. - All-Hands, Squad 7 o/s w/fire on the 2nd fl. of a 3-brick dwelling. @14:05hrs. - 114 N. 21th St. - All-Hands, Battalion 1 o/s w/fire showing from a 2.5-wood dwelling w/reports of people trapped. @15:15hrs. - 1133 Clover St. - All-Hands, Car 3(DC) o/s w/fire through 3 vacant 2-brick dwellings. For a city about 10 sq. miles in size, that's a lot of fire. CMDFD...Goes to JOBS!

Thoughts and prayers with the officer and his family. Hope he is doing okay.

I would assume that their next rig will not be an American LaFrance, seeing as how they are, as far as I know, going out of(or are currently out of) business. Plus, it's getting harder and harder to find parts for current ALF's.
-
White Plains FD currently run 2 ALF's as frontline Truck Co.'s: Ladder 32, a 2007 American LaFrance/LTI 100' RMA(Delivered in 2009) out of HQ and Tower Ladder 6, a 2001 American LaFrance/Smeal 85' RM Tower Ladder out of Station 2 just north of Downtown. The WPFD currently run 5 Engines, 3 Trucks, and 1 Rescue as their frontline fleet. Their frontline and spare Engines are currently Freightliners and Fords cabs with Pierce, Smeal, and ALF bodies. Their Rescue, Rescue 88 is a 2004 Pierce Saber HD Rescue. They also run a Ford/Smeal 105' RMA as their spare Ladder, and an International Medium-Duty Rescue as their Squad, or 2nd piece to Rescue 88, and a Ford/Department Shops Rescue was their Squad Support Unit, in addition to their Squad. Both units are cross-staffed when needed. The rig that is being replaced by the current Ladder 32 is Ladder 34, a '95 Ford/Smeal 1500/500 75' Quint out of the North Street Fire Station with Engine 71. The current Ladder 32's ALF will go to Ladder 34, and the new Ladder 32 will go to HQ with Engine 70, Rescue 88, and the Duty Chief.

Yeah. Like radioreference, there isn't one frequency for the city of Yonkers FD or the city of Camden FD, just Southern Westchester Fire and Camden County Fire, but you might get lucky and pick of a job here and there from both. I would assume the same app as for the iPhone(5-0 Radio Police Scanner).

Same here. I finally got out of the stone age and bought an iPhone. Before that, I had a go-phone from Best Buy. Anyhow, I was in the same boat, and found a really great scanner ap called 5-0 Radio Police Scanner(The one that says "Utilities" under it). You can hear pretty much anything that's on radioreference.com. FDNY comes in great, and you can listen to any FD anywhere. Good luck.

So, this means that the WHFD paid FD will take over Allingtown, or will it still be run by volunteers.

It's a sick world out there. I don't even want to think about what comes next.
