Monday morning quarterbacking a job becomes second nature but this is one of those times that one needs to look at the big picture. This "EDP" was armed and dangerous. If they decided to wait it out and in turn a trooper, civilian or other responder was injured or killed both the Record and this site would be asking the question "should the troopers have used deadly force and terminated the scenario sooner". These people are classified as EDP sometimes based on history and other times based on current actions but either was they are unpredictable and difficult by nature. Here it is, Wappingers is looking into a new truck good for them. i think right now about 95% of E.F.F.D is marion do to there past chief his company sells them
i know that 39-11,l2,13,15,16,18,21,22,52,67are not sure about 39-14,17,19,51, and 46 is a e-one not sure adout 45
and they have the biggest dist.in dutchess i think its like 56 sq. miles and there trucks do get alot of use and abuse and hold up very well so marion most be building a tough truck

I do know of a few fire dept's. In Dutchess county who have blue lights on there rigs and in there chief cars faceing frunt. Im told by them we are vollinteer, and it helps get people's attion and helps out there members cuse people dont know what u are they just move over really just give everyone red light's cuse all we do is drive with the blue lights on to get in the truck with red lights at one point i had more lights blue and white in the frunt of my truck then some chief's and had blue, red and yellow out the rear and on foggy nights and in rain the blue stands out the best my old fire house has had blue on the back of every truck for over a year now and it helps like someone said red and yellow will drow you to it but bule wakes you up. just my 2 cents
