Doesnt this put a bunch of stress on the "time" factor? Maybe because I have never seen it done but how does a department operating at a pin job with life-threatening injuries set up their tools, cut a door/roof, roll a cab, care for a patient, clean up their tools, and respond with a patient? Would this dept have additional apparatus or utilities to make sure the scene is protected or cared for when the "fireblance" leaves for transport? Obviously saying this if the primary ambulance is not available... Im not saying its a dumb idea, just curious of what alternative routes these men/women of ALL such fire services take to make sure the patient(s) is brought to good care in a timely manner? I understand mutual aid may be called for an additional ambulance, but then why have the "fireblance"? Maybe I missed a prior post which described this, got tired of reading peoples fighting posts, ha. Anyone have a video of this operation? Must be tricky. Anyways, nice lookin rig.

Engine 2 is absolutely an apparatus that no one would spec out around the states (as far as im concerned). Is there a specific tactic to this type of apparatus? Doesn't seem user friendly, but yet I have never used it...

This story and its updates are great Cogs. Im always checking every day to see if you write something new and I always get reminded to check when I hear the Belltown boys screamin to calls (I live with my girlfriend in Belltown). You truly have a great and risky experience in front of you and, as much as you have already written, a great and risky experience that has already passed. I wish the best for you and all of your crew and obviously the armed forces across the seas with you. Dont stop writing, you have plenty of fans (even if they pretend not to be, ha) who, im sure, are checking to see if anything new has come across from you. Im assuming you were there when Bin Laden was killed, how was the atmosphere with the men and woman from different nations? Stay Safe, Stay Cool... Ty Port Chester FD Engine 64 Head Driver

The length of time that this application is open is too long. This goes for all other agencies around the United States. Application Openings should only be open for a week at the most to eliminate high applicant numbers/people taking the test. Fire and Police tests are way to popular now and millions jump on these tests.

I agree to an extent, and yea not everyone drives but not everyone does much of what they taught in high school. I always thought that every dealership or dealer should give the buyer the "how to" on the vehicle they purchased such as changing tires, charging batteries, fluids, wipers, etc. (the basics). Some new vehicles dont even have the bettery under the hood lol.

That first picture with everyone standing in the snow with their lights on is pretty cool. Should be framed in the firehouse.
