  1. It's not said nearly enough, but THANK YOU!!!! This site really has revolutionized the internet in our emergency services area and brought together hundreds of people who ordinarily wouldn't talk to one another. Also, it's attracted people who've never even used the internet before, and learned just for this site. There's something to be said for someone who has the talent to pull that off. It really bites me that some members are so unappreciative. What would we all do without EMTBravo? Congrats on all your hard work!!!!!
  2. Happy birthday, Seth and thanks for all the sacrifices you make to keep this site alive! Hope 29 is great to you, best wishes!
  3. Good luck on that. I work and am friends with a couple of people who are involved there. It's my opinion that the people at PCRRB*EMS think that they're better then the rest. They really don't talk nicely about this site (or anyone that's not them). My opinion is that they think it is "buffy" and they are too "professional" for it. You have many people who used to be active on this site until they went to work there. With that said, I don't think anyone who's not in the clique will get real information about this incident, except for 60 Control, which they are scapegoating for all the things that went wrong. Maybe some EMTBravo members should FOIL information about this incident....
  4. Hartsdale FD just renovated both their firehouses, just bought a new engine, and now they need donated furniture? Just my opinion, but I don't think advertising that you need "recliners for watching tv" for firefighters is the smartest idea.
  5. EXCELLENT! Now all we need is people to post more photos.....what happened to JTCamp and all the other photographers that regularly contributed to the site? Do they still take photos or just not submit them?
  6. Well, from he's told us, he hasn't gotten a paycheck in two months, and is being piledriven and punished by his former employer for his accident/injuries, maybe that has something to do with it. I personally feel THEY should have to pay for the site, but that's a whole seperate story. I really hope this site doesn't go bankrupt like the rumor someone I am told from Putnam County is spreading. I know Seth will get back on his feet. I'm willing to look at a few ads and kick in a few bucks, I enjoy the site and if that's the price I have to pay to keep it online, so be it.
  7. What's that supposed to mean-is he ordering you to ban anyone who talks about it?
  8. THANK YOU SETH AND STAFF!!!!!!!!! Before this forum, there was NOTHING around here online. Now, there's tons-but EMTBravo was the pioneer and still leads the pack with innovation, hard working staff, and friendly members! I know some "higher-ups", and it's noteable to say that this is THE ONLY forum they visit or would consider visiting. Heck, many of you know that they even participate! You should be proud of what you've accomplished, and I can't wait to see what's to come. ! Member #190
  9. Good luck with the new site! But I'm sticking with my 'Bravo! I must point out though, it seems funny that EMTBravoNewJersey.com was launched last week, and now this new site was launched this morning. Why not just work together? I also did a search, and it seems NYCFire.net has registered WestchesterFires.com too amongst other domains. Do I smell a competition brewing? Is NYCFire.net and RocklandFires.com trying to get a piece of the EMTBravo empire, lol? I must ask why?
  10. Unbelievable some people are crying about donating to the site. I donated money, and I'm glad to see the site expanding. It means that my dollar went exactly where promised-invested in the site. I love these sites, and I'm glad Seth is working to bring it to more people. Also, he won't admit it, but Seth is selling off some of his valued personal items to bank cash for living expenses. I recently bough a scanner from him, and I know he didn't want to sell it. I'm sorry to bring this to public view Seth, I just wanted to say shame on those who basically freeload on this site, and then have the nerve to whine about it.
  11. Locally, I know that Yonkers has two Tower Ladders on order, and White Plains has a ladder on order. I'm sure there's more around the region. I'm hoping this is just a bump in the road for ALF.
  12. Awesome touch, I'm still waiting for mobile alerts though!!
  13. I agree, it is a nice touch! FYI, if you mean the "guys at EMTBravo", it is only one person. Seth (also known as x635 or EMTBravo on this forum) creates and maintains all the pages himself and does all the IT and technical stuff as well, by himself-or at least that's the way it was last time I spoke to him. Although he does have help with the forums like Truck4 and the moderators.
  14. Tonight, many firehouses in NYS held their annual District elections. I was wondering what the rules for a fire district election are? Are they the same as for a general election? Are the Commisioners, especially those who are up for election, allowed to hang around the polling place? Also, can the staff, including active volunteers, of the district run the election?
  15. Great photos Seth! One of the nicest looking aerials (that's actually built to work, not be in a parade) that I've seen in a long time! One question though, on the photos posted, the first one it appears that the current Ladder 12 is in the bay? What is Ladder 12 currently operating with, or are they operating from headquarters?

  17. We've got to remember that there's cameras EVERYWHERE nowadays. I'm sure this happens numerous times within FDNY, and I for one feel that's the price you pay if you want to drive in Manhattan. I just hope the crew of that truck took the appropriate actions afterwards. The obnoxious bystander filming, I hated his "commentary". Anyways, watch the video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F12_bHtaNfA
  18. Joe, best wishes. Glad to hear you're home. Keep your spirits up, there are many people thinking of you...
  19. AWESOME job guys!
  20. This site is just plain awesome. I've been a member since the begining, and it's amazing how this site has grown, but is no suprise given all the effort Seth has put into it. Sure, some people complain about the forum, but those people are in the minority. I think the majority of us love the site, and I don't know what I'd do without it- it's become such a fixture. I like that it keeps on growing and evolving, and is becoming such a go-to source for information. I really like the recent Agency reference addition, as well as the email newsletter. Keep up the great work, Seth! Good topic, Vinny.
  21. This is just plain disgusting. http://www.godhatesfags.com/fliers/sep2007...al-service-.pdf
  22. I still think the photos came out GREAT! Does Westchester have anything that compares to something of this scale?
