I have massive OCD when It comes to those things. Often times I will find myself responding with the Med and they are locked out, But the irons are always where i need them and not floating around in the back of my Vehicle.

We Do, Alpha being low, Delta being High. We usually only Roll code 3 on Charlie calls and up, but occasionally the dispatcher will relay mid run that the patient is no longer breathing and than it becomes a Delta Response and we light it up

I run Red/White in the front dash of my POV, with Blue and Red in the Grill, and Red and Amber in the rear, In New Mexico You can have whatever lights you want on your POV/Apparatus as long as the person driving and placing the apparatus has a Class E license as well as the mandatory Apparatus Placement Class provided by the state.

When I respond on any med call or public assist i put on bunker pants, you never know what you'll be kneeling in and my 5.11 duty pants are way to hard to wash. I never wear the bunker top unless its cold out or I am going to be in a hazardous situation, the morning pride gear on our med unit is fantastic, but we really only use it when were at a pin job or at a structure fire.

Its Pretty Easy to find used bunker gear, I'm sure you could find some cheap EMS Gear. The EMS Jacket and Helmet we Keep on our Med unit was donated from a former east coast dept. that was disbanded.

We Have back up cameras in all of our apparatus aside from one of our reserve engines.

What do you mean? As In Bunker Gear? Or as in Uniforms?

I'm 6' 4" And I find my Dept. Tahoe hard to drive, Its even Harder to drive my A4 With bunkers on... I would rather don my gear at the station or on scene,

Have You ever tried driving your Admin Vehicle going code on the highway in full bunkers? or your POV? It's Impossible, Being an officer I find that at the most driving the apparatus you should wear your pants, I don't want any of my guys driving to have any sort of obstruction to the pedals, audible and visual warning controls and other items inside the cab, In my Dept. the Engineer Usually only wears a t-shirt bunker pants, Safety Vest, radio harness and Command Jacket if its cold out.

Here, If there is any suspicious explosion State and City EOD is called in before any movement happens on scene, This happens rarely but it is part of our plan, If either State Police EOD or City Police EOD is out of service we have to wait a good half hour for the Sheriffs Office to get there S**t together, but like I said, its just a protocol on any suspicious situation because of what happens in the middle east with secondary devices, My two cents.
