I did mask confidence in my FF1 course but I am looking for more of a dedicated Mask Confidence course in the area of 15 hours or so.

Thanks BFD1054 I do check all of those sites very frequently

In my department we are required to have taken a mask confidence along with FF1 or its equivalent (Basic, intermediate.....) in order to gain interior status. My department offers the course every year in May but unfortunetly I will not be able to take it in May because I am currently attending college in Rochester, NY and I do not get out until almost June. I was wondering if anyone knows of a Mask Confidence Class that is being held over the summer and/or if anyone is actually having one. Please just leave a post if you can give me any leads that I would be able to look into. Thanks Brian

I am currently joining the fire department up here in Rochester. I went down yesterday and one of the guys was showing me their equipment. There was one thing in particular that caught my attention. On there engine is a battery operated Hurst Tool. It was a combination cutter spreader with blades that were about 8 inches long. Does anyone else run something like this. I didnt get the specs on it but does anyone know how long the battery lasts.

East Fishkill has a trashline preconnect in the front of almost all of their engines and also our Squad Truck has two cord reels in the front in addition to an 1 3/4" trashline preconnect

It's even more fun when u start the fire then steal the firetruck and put the fire out
-
Even if u take the national FF1 test, they won't accept it?

I know the East Fishkill Fire District [Dutchess County] donated engine 39-19 to Lousisianna, but i have no idea how they went about doing it.

I was just wondering if there are any plans to put a hit counter on the site, especially the .COM site. I think it would be very interesting to see how many Unique visitors there are to the site. I say unique because many of us visit this site, o say i dont know a hundred times a day. It would be pointless to count people over and over again.

First off let me say, i am only 18 i am in no way questioning your knowledge yfd910, but why do u feel

It's not too bad, you just need to be good number games, it is some what based on binary for one part. Thats right I went there, geek stuff. And here is a hint, the bomb is not like a car battery.

BOTH PEOPLE SURVIVED THIS CRASH, CLAIMED TO BE OVER 120 MILES PER HOUR. IT SHOWS HOW SAFE THESE SUPER CARS TRUELY ARE. Thats Rights, it's a Ferrari Enzo I would cry if I saw this, I know its only a car but it's a beautiful car. It's a good way to waste a million dollars. If the helicopter crashes or if a line is needed for some other reason chances are, its not going to happen right at the LZ. If a line is stretched what do you do when you have to move the engine to the location of where the incident happens. Do u disconnect it? Then your down a line. It makes more sense not to stretch a line because nothing ever goes as planned in this business. It makes more sense to have someones hand on the line ready to pull it at a moments notice. JUST AN OPINION THOUGH
