I got one of those new Uniden Fire Tone out scanners. I have the BR330T. It's pretty nice . I had the BC246T, there pretty much the same with a few differences, such as the tone out mode. I am very satisfied with it, but I must say I wish the tones were longer, all you get is like a loud 1-2 second tone, there are 10 different ones to chose from but they are all extremely short. Overall I really like it, and I think it was definitely worth the money.

Does any one know of any Rescue Tech Basic Classes, preferably in the summer, at either Camp Smith or in Dutchess County?

there is both a survival and FAST class at camp smith this summer, they are offered on 2 back to back weekends. I plan on taking them, because I too will be home from college.

I guess im real glad i stayed in NYS then. Even though the department that i joined up here in rochester only 2.2 square miles (EFFD is 54 sq miles) they are pretty busy, and even tho i only have FF1, it transfers fine, and also i am relatively close to montour falls so im gonna take some hard to find courses up there. So I guess I can't complain about it up here, even tho its cold, the weather has not been anywhere near what the famous Lake affect claim says it should be

A Little, off topic but, how is Embry-Riddle down there, I was really thinking about going there for Aeronautical Engineering, but instead I decided to go to RIT. How much fun and nice weather am I missing? Brian

Is there a reason that posts can only be edited for only a short time span? Although yes we can now delete our own posts and repost them with the edited portion, I think it would be good if we could edit our post as well, indefinitely.

I worked in a camera shop for a while and to tell you the truth you do not need to go over a 6 mega pixel or so. Unless you want to make a billboard then around 6 Mega pixels will do just fine. Your just wasting your money if you go over 6 mp's. If you know what your doing you could make a 20x30 poster out of a 2 mega pixel and still make it look good. The key thing to look for when buying a digital camera, if it is not the SLR type, is the Optical Zoom. The optical zoom is the actual lens zooming in and out. The digital zoom is useless, it is just like enlarging something on a copy machine your just making the quality worse. You could probably get a 10x optical zoom and 6 mega pixels for a reasonable low price at BHPhoto.com. They are the worlds largest camera store, located in Manhattan, and if you know some one who lives out of state you can have it shipped to them, that way you beat the tax. The best digitals i feel are Fujifilm, Nikon, or Canon.

I really don't know what to say about this, it is cool, really cool, but this guy has way too much free time to be able to do this. I must say though it requires a lot of though and creativity.

I don't think the E-one Episode has aired yet I believe it was filmed in october or november, so I think it should air soon, but I dont know when.

I don't remember what time its on, I haven't gotten a chance to watch it lately cause I really don't watch TV up at college. I know its on the travel channel, check your local listings and the travel channel's website for details.

What time is it on?

We use KNOX boxes in East Fishkill, a lot of businesses have them as well as schools and public buildings. Also I believe but am not completely sure that all of our engines, ambulances, and cheifs cars have them.
