So do we need a "system" or just rope and a biner? like we used in ff survival. Who's is going to access the district to determine what system you need? The chief? We have tall buildings in our response area does this mean every interior ff needs a system like the EXO or RIT?

It is now 2:30am was just curious why some of us are up? Me,I just can't sleep. I guess I never sleep.

I'd have to agree... That is what were here for. We may not agree or like it, But we provide a service to the public. It's not all about fighting fires and pin jobs. It's nice when you hand a little kitten back to a little girl who had been crying for hours. But then again I'm a sucker for cats, Have two myself.

Quick funny story, We did that with a bird. This lady had some kind of expensive exotic bird stuck in a tree, Now I don't know but isn't that where birds belong So we get there and this bird is really high we were never going to get it with ground ladders, So I'm like how are we going to do this without commiting my ladder? One of the guy's suggested using the garden hose next to the house. So I said lets give it a try,well we sprayed the bird, the lady held her arms out and the bird flew right to her.

Not bad, you should try to get the whole truck or what ever your shooting in the picture. I noticed some of the pictures were cut off. Play with angles also get down on one knee take a shot and see what it looks like. Example the second picture of the Con-ed mobile unit on the angle you got the whole truck with not much back ground "stuff" going on which makes the person looking concentrate more on the truck. The empress ambulance the front end is cut off, like I said try to get the "whole picture" Keep in mind these are just some ideas I'm by no means a professional but I try. On a side note Chief Pitocco needs a wash or a new truck Oh one more thing, lighting you don't want it overcast or cloudy. Also watch the shadows,some of the pictures theres a shadow on parts on the trucks on some of the pictures. Just somethings to think about. I hope this helps... I know there are members with way more talent in picture taking and I hope to hear from them as well.

Well we are pretty much the same as your example 1st due Engine passes the fire building, The Truck in front of the fire building. The 2nd due engine(crew) ties the 1st due engine into the hydrant,then either pumps to the 1st due or goes to the rear of the building if it can't take up the rear with the engine it will take one of the 3 sides since the number 1 side is already being handled.(depends on the situation) The 3rd due engine,depends on whats going on and whats needed man power tools lights etc... The rescue is there for support on what ever is needed extra bottles,hand tools,saws,tarps,fuel,water,etc... The utility is used to run bottles to the firehouse or to pickup manpower etc... Any working fire our 10-75 plan kicks in which takes care of our FASTeam, EMS, back filling our station etc... Do my engine assignments work all the time? In a perfect world, and I don't think any of us live there... But it's nice when it works. I hope this helps... And I'm open for your ideas and feedback...

Just wanted to give everyone a heads up. The story,I went online to check my online banking to make sure all my bills were up to date and I notice a transaction which took all my money out of my checking and put it in some guys account in FL. Well turns out from what the bank and investigators told me, The guy in FL. kept 20% and transfered the rest to an account in Nigeria!!!! :angry: Well needless to say all my payments bounced and now the bank is working on getting my money back I have to say they've been good they are going to pay all late charges and bounced check fees... How this happened... A E-mail was sent to me called a "Fishing E-mail" It was marked Wachovia Bank(my bank) I opened it and read it, Just enough time to let this virus in which recorded my key strokes. they who ever "they" are,watched me online for days until I went to my online banking and recorded my key strokes, Thus getting my password and username, allowing them to do what they did. The bank was quick to act and traced the IP adress to Nigeria. JUST A WARINING TO ANYONE WHO USES ONLINE BANKING!!! DON"T BE A VICTIM LIKE ME.

My chief's truck has foward and rear blue in the lightbar and the dash is red/blue... I guess thats a violation.

I don't believe the system is fully up and running yet that could be why. I know I've been doing alot of testing with 60-control getting the radios in order. I also believe most of the other testing being done is on the Tac channels to find out if you have any "dead" areas. I used my portable on a tac channel and talked to Mount kisco FD... Loud and clear, pretty good if you ask me. But again I don't think your supposed to be on the new trunking system just yet. There still some fine tuning being done.

Ok I'll admit it, I bought a bunch of those seat belt stickers and put them around certain areas of the firehouse. Also put them inside the cab the engines and the rescue. Hey the way I look at it,if it helps remind them good enough. But yes,they should be buckled up!! stickers or no stickers...

As far as incident photos go I have to say and it may just be me but there hasn't been any really BIG events lately... You know my camra is always loaded and ready to shoot... And as far as the site goes, visit it everyday.

Try Tattoo Seen and ask for Bern he's amazing. He will sit with you and go over everything with out. But be prepared he will let you know what he thinks good or bad. He's really up front, I went to him with an idea and he looked it over and told me flat out he wouldn't waste his time, that it wouldn't look good. And he worked something else out along the same lines of what i wanted and in the end it was better then I ever thought. Let him do his thing...
