  1. Man you get the voice better then I do,I'll give you my # when you hear where the call is call me
  2. Harrison is toned out on 33.96 and we use 46.26 to communicate with 60 control.
  3. http://www.freewebs.com/648eng119/westchestercountytones.htm Try this.
  4. That's really strange,I got one for ya has your Nextel phone ever set your pager off? Mine did like three times so I have to wear one on each side.
  5. I was just wondering if anyone else has these problems with there pagers. I have the MinitorV and I never get calls if I'm in Port Chester,Rye,West harrison or Purchase and the really wierd thing is if I'm sitting at my firehouse it's hit or miss. But when I'm at my dads house in yonkers by the raceway It's crystal clear. Is it a program problem or maybe the pager is no good. If we tone out ourself it comes in alot better. Also I don't get any pages when I'm at the training center. Sometimes I'll just get the alert and nothing else I know guys in my department are having this problem anyone else?
  6. I was reading up about the BCT15,What is the feature called fire tone out?
  7. Well I'll try again I missed it last time by one key stroke!!! I couldn't believe it.
  8. I have the XTS2500 model II... I love it,so far. Had it for almost two years haven't had a problem, just waiting for the smart battery to come our for it. Also I would get the speaker mic with volume controls right on the mic it's a nice feature when your radio is tucked away or in a radio strap which I prefer.
  9. HAPPY BIRTHDAY X635
  10. Yeah our boss brought us in at 2pm... Don't do us any favors we go home at 3
  11. Isn't there a law about working outside in this heat? Diggin holes and layin down blacktop in this is no fun.
  12. Well asking for a bus wouldn't be correct I agree. But if they request ems to the scene,I guess that's pretty plain. And maybe give a reason why you need ems would also help,so you could pass it along to the responding ems crew. I guess right know since there is no radio standard on which to use, plan english or 10-codes,it pretty much comes down to knowing correct radio procedures. Think before you speak...Both in life and on the mic
  13. I don't think plain english is unprofessional at all. You can sound very unprofessional using 10-codes. It's all about the way you speak and pronouce your words. Just think about what your going to say before you key the mic. You said "There is no need to make radio transmissions sound understandable" What? Is it just me?
  14. Half of our guy's use plain english and the other half use 10-codes. I'd like to have everyone in my department use plain english. But then again I'd like our department to do alot of things... But I'm just the "baby" or so I'm told.
  15. I agree with you...I don't need to see a hollywood movie to remember 911. I will never forget that day or the weeks/months that followed. Just my 2 cents...
  16. How does everyone feel about this movie comming out? Me personally I think enough is enough already. Who wants to relive this again? Hasn't everyone gone through enough? I have no plans on seeing this "based on a true story" movie. If you want to see a movie about the trade center I would say buy the 9/11 video by those two brothers from france. Thats real... Not this B.S. they put in the movies...Also where doe's all the money from the movie go to? The familys of victims?
  17. lucky to be alive. Why would he lite it from inside the boat? Where was he going to go once the boat was on fire?
  18. Had a great time... thank you
  19. Man I'm hungry!!!
  20. Ok no problem...Don't worry it's not a big deal just some guy's were asking...See you Fri. night
  21. Do you expect a lot of departments? Can we bring our engine?
  22. Hey 630 you buying or what? I was thinking maybe my department could buy one,use it as a chiefs car...
  23. Damn that's nice... Are you going to get it? I wanna see pic's if you do.
  24. Well it is located right next to the up town DPW site which is the NIKE base and yes there is a shooting range for HPD also located there. If you know of the NIKE base there is plenty of room for all this and more. Were you thinking of the downtown DPW site off Harrison Ave?
