According to Facebook it is the 6th, I doubt they would do it on a Wednesday.

This is nothing new. Katonah's ladder can kneel the back end.

Another issue is the housing market in areas where they join. They join as younger members still living at home, go off to college and graduate. Now they come home get a job but are unable to afford or find a suitable home in the town or even nearby to make it for calls.

Because they'd be ridiculed by people on this site for not calling a closer department that has the capabilities.
-
Huntington VFD in Arkansas. The same department that bought 117s twin, the old 115.
-
Not true. Their fast was called on the 10-75 and they utilize the tower ladder as their fast truck.

You could also argue why Mount Kisco was 1st called as a relocate engine skipping over Bedford and others.

It's been Wednesday forever. It is also the start of the carnival which runs 4 days and finishes Saturday night.

Everyone in this topic has said they would do it their way which is absolutely fine. None of you were the IC, and we've heard from members on scene even one in charge of operations, the IC did it how he thought he should run it. That's that. You guys didn't get the answers your looking for and have now jumped on the consolidation argument hoping that will work. I believe it was posted earlier in the topic, this is for discussion about the fire incident itself not consolidation. Feel free to make another topic about that so that can fade away like all the other consolidation topics. Like I said the pettiness and the unhappy with the answers you're getting is the reason this website has died.

And this topic goes to show why this website has gone down the tubes.

County PD doesn't have a dive team. They used to.

Great job and thanks for taking the photos!! Out of curiosity I was told you should try to be 10' away from wires with aerials? Obviously there is inherent risk when dealing with wires. *Not trying to make anything of this by any means just strictly a curiosity/learning question.*

Well A) it's not my job to prove it to anyone. B ) why can't he prove that they've said no and are not helping agencies? I think making an assumption that they are doing that and him saying it's because they haven't heard them on local pd frequencies is not valid.
-
I know for a fact that they do all the time, just because you do not hear them doesn't mean they aren't helping agencies. It seems like you are you basing this statement solely because you do not hear them on your scanner?

What is the optimal mounting for hurst tools? I've seen them mounted in compartments on the driver's side, the passenger's side, the rear, these depend on how the truck is positioned safety wise and then the downside of having to bring the tools around the other side of the truck (then you lose length). Someone mentioned something earlier about a compartment that you can pull from either side. I've never seen this done with hurst tools. Does anyone have a picture of that?
