Give me a third alarm.

True Helicopper, could have been a doggy threat.
-
The dog is considered a Police Officer, and if you walked up to a cop and barked and hissed at him you would probably get the same. At least a trip for a pyschiatric evaluation. Would have been great if dummy tried to pet him through the window. Bingo would have sharpened his teeth on the nit wits fingers.

25 Firefighters, 30 mile repsonse. Lives on the line. Not Priceless

Another good one, How many Departments do drug testing??? I believe this should also be done. I would think the following would be a good set up for new applicants: 1 Background check 2 Arson check of course 3 Drug test 4 References 5 Physical This would pretty much assure you that your are hiring a good applicant. Also having a good interview committee would be a asset. As mentioned in a previous message you could be putting a total stranger in someone elses house whether it be a fire or EMS call, lots of liability their.

Seth as always awesome shots.... The message for the tax payers is sweet. I wonder how many of them actualy read it?

Ugly deal. 20 Year veteran could possibly get 8 to 25 years for tipping off drug dealers. http://www.poughkeepsiejournal.com/article/20110331/NEWS05/110331004/BREAKING-NEWS-FORMER-TOWN-POUGHKEEPSIE-POLICE-OFFICER-INDICTED?odyssey=tab|topnews|text|PoughkeepsieJournal.com

I wonder if Mobile Life and the City went with the original RFP? That was a pretty tough and costly RFP to meet. Does anyone know the stipulations of the contract?

Open Your Doors To kick-start National Volunteer Week 2011, this April 9th and 10th, the Firemen’s Association of the State of New York (FASNY) encourages your department to open its doors and introduce members of your community to the volunteer fire service. It is long overdue, as we all are aware that the number of volunteer members are rapidly diminshing. Does anyone else have any programs that are beneficial? How about any fire department advertising slogans? http://recruitny.org/

Just my Opinion but, Could have hurt tons of innocent people as well as give Emergency Services a bad name.

I know this RFP went out awhile ago but why is the City posting it again? Is the City putting a new FP out? http://www.midhudsonnews.com/News/2011/March/21/Nbrg_amb-21Mar11.html

One of the comments on the Poughkeepsie Urinal says "It's show time tomorrow at 4:45 at Public Safety Committee meeting..watch on-line and see who stands up and says NO." What is the chance of the legislatures overuling Steinhaus' appointment. Where do we watch this on-line?

http://www.lohud.com/article/201010180328 A Pace University football player was shot dead by police early Sunday during a brawl outside a bar on homecoming weekend. According to Mt. Pleasant police, one officer struck by the vehicle landed on the car hood. As shots fired at the driver and passenger, another officer attempting to retrieve the first officer was also hit. The car stopped as it smashed into a Mt. Pleasant police car. Thoughts and Prayers for all involved.....
